Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek -... Reviews (4)

Spent a lot of money on pit pass upgrade, rain melted our tickets so could not get back in. Because of a beer in my hand, was treated with security.I am disgusted! I attended the [redacted] concert on Friday,[redacted] at Coastal Credit Union in the monsoon of Hurricane Hermine. I am a Megaticket holder, but my friends and I splurged and upgraded to pit passes for this particular concert. We were drenched and our tickets practically melted in our hands when showing them to the gate keeper. She wouldn't let the two of us in, but let other people who didn't show their tickets right past. I started to get loud and angry as [redacted] was about to hit the stage and I am not allowed to get back in. I paid a very large amount of money for this upgrade and of course I'm going to get upset. A lady named, [redacted], joined the conversation and instead of taking me to the ticket office to make things right, she brought us to security. I proceeded to ask for names because I was highly dissatisfied. I will also say, I had a beer in my hand and the staff treated me like I was drunk and disorderly. This was my first and only beer of the night and they assumed because a girl who was VERY angry over her situation just needed to "calm down". I was told by "Head of Security" that this was not the time and place to get angry over it... when is a good time? AFTER I don't get to experience what was paid for? I was then escorted out of the area by two police officers and directed to the lawn. Since Coastal Credit Union took over, this staff has been SUPER disappointing and I know I am not the only one to have complained this year. Desired SettlementI would like more than just an apology from the business. I am not looking for a refund because I did get to experience [redacted] with my pass, but I'm not sure what I deserve at this point. I am a disgruntled customer and can promise, after 10+ years of being a Megaticket holder, this will be my last. Also, I don't feel like I can ever trust buying the pit passes ever again, especially in the rain.

It took 4 months to receive my $350 tickets, but an extra show was added we should get a ticket for and we no longer have parking priveleges.I have attempted to contact the amphitheater NUMEROUS times with no response - terrible customer service! I have been a Megaticket holder for over 10 years and I feel this year will be my last with my 2016 experience. A group of 8 of us purchased our $350 Megatickets in February and they finally arrived FOUR months after purchase, about a week before the first show... my receipt said I would have them within 6-8 weeks. The same week I finally received my tickets, Walnut Creek added a second show for Luke Bryan for Saturday, September 3rd. In the past, we as Megaticket holders receive tickets to both shows for an artist. We deserve this ticket as a second option or go to both... we paid for the entire series. On top of that, apparently our Megaticket Parking privileges were taken away. We used to be able to park in D Lot, but this year I have gone through the ringer to fight for the parking I have always received. If we were no longer going to have these benefits, it should have been listed as a change because many of us would have opted out. At this point, I feel I have wasted my money. I deserve some sort of compensation or upgrade for the time and money wasted, plus being added to this so called VIP Parking list for the rest of the 2016 Megaticket series. This is especially important because of what we knew as our special Megaticket parking for the last 10 years, I convinced an individual who is not steady on their legs to buy a ticket and we will need to limit the walking distance to the amphitheater. Desired SettlementWilling to discuss with amphitheater, but definitely need to be added to this "VIP Parking list".MORE INFO RECEIVED FROM THE CONSUMER : Coastal Credit Union Music Pavilion has resolved this case with me. Talk about customer service! :)

Walnut Creek Amphitheater failed to administer appropriate control over intoxicated and unruly customers even after being notified.Order #[redacted]I paid $139.90 for tickets for my wife and me for the "[redacted]". The seats I chose were specifically labeled "under the roof" for fear of impending bad weather. We arrived at 1:20pm and stood in line approximately 50 minutes just to be searched and allowed in. Due to this abhorrently long entry time, we missed the first band. When we found our seats, we were very disappointed that two professional video cameras were directly in front blocking the center of the stage. We found that many of the seats around us were not taken throughout the day. At approximately 7pm, I noticed that the rain had begun and a large amount of people rushed into our section. I inquired with a few of the people who invaded the section and they advised that they were from the lawn section and paid a $10 upgrade to their $15 [redacted] tickets. These customers were supposed to be seated behind us in the "non-roof" section. This mob of people then began smoking marijuana openly and drinking heavily. By 9:30pm when the headliner band was on, the people had crammed into all of the 4-5 rows in front of us, many obviously not having a seat in the area (I.E. sitting on each other's laps). Walnut Creek has a reporting line where you can text if someone is being troublesome in your area. My wife texted twice about these drunken hoodlums invading the area and clearly taking seats that don't belong to them. Walnut Creek did nothing in response. A staff member stood by and observed this entire event and did nothing. I had to demand people leave my seat when my wife and I went to get a snack. I observed other couples arriving around 8:30pm who were unable to get the seats they paid for and could not get help from staff.Due to Walnut Creek's failure to provide a timely entry to the event, compounded with their absolute inability to adequately secure paid seating areas, their criminally lax views on serving alcoholic beverages to inebriated customers, and their failure to respond to their own customer service line, I demand a full refund of $139.90.Desired SettlementThe business is to refund the entire $139.90.Business Response Refund has been issued.Consumer Response I accept the resolution and thank the business for its prompt attention to this matter.Final Consumer Response

I purchased 2 tickets in reserved seating but was denied access to my seatsIn March of 2016 I purchased 2 reserved seat tickets to the [redacted] show on July 27, 2016. My seats were secition *, row * seats 25 & 26.Once I got to the show I did get to sit in my seat for about 20 minutes. I went to the bathroom and upon my return to the entrance gate to our section was told no one else was allowed back in. No ONE was allowed back in, it wasn't just us. I paid for covered seats that I couldn't sit in, and was not given any explanation why. I asked for a supervisor and began being yelled at by the attendant. I video taped the encounter after a few minutes as I couldn't believe what was happening. We were forced to stand in the rain with no reason given when I paid $177 for seats. We ended up leaving since the whole crowd being upset was starting to make me fear for my safety. My second complaint is that I paid for a souvenir cup with a free refill and was denied that refill because the girl who sold it to me didn't give me a ticket required for the refill. As this was my first visit to this place since it became Coastal Credit Union Music venue, I didn't know I had to request a refill ticket. Seems to me it should have come with the soda when I paid for it. Desired SettlementI would like my ticket price refunded. Or at least the price difference between lawn tickets and my reserved tickets.Business Response Customer received refund of $177.28 as of July 28.Consumer Response I am satisfied with the response. I received a refund.
