That 1 star was 1 to much!!!!! I had a break in the hot water line under the slab,Mr J.C looks and estimated between$2400 and$3500,It seamed high but he told me that instead of tearing up our floor it would be better to re-plumb the entire house that way I don't have to worry about another shift in the earth.
After signing I realized that he only put the top #on the bid.
I was told that they would re-pipe hot and cold water in my kitchen,and the reason for the large flux in the price was how the pipes came up under the counters,I was told that they would run hot and cold pipes in my kitchen laundry-room,and 2 bath-rooms
The first day 8/27/20 they showed up at 1:45pm I told them I had things I had to do and to start tomorrow,The next day 8/28/20 they arrived at 1:30 pm and stayed till 4:30pm on saturday 8/29/20 they arrived at 8:15 am and was there on and off till about 8:00 pm but only 7.5 hrs on the job. as they started work I was told that the kitchen, laundry ,and one bath was compleated!!!!! as they started to work on the last bathroom I started to look around .
NOTHING WAS DONE IN THE KITCHEN OR THE FIRST BATH. 1T,and 1 elbow and abt.1.5 feet of pipe was changed in the laundry
the break was between the hot water heater and the second bath-room and that's where they ran a hot and a cold line to the shower and just a hot to the sink.
At the end of the day he hit me with a bill for the full $3500 plus tax for 10.5 hrs work
When I confronted him about the things that were not done he told me that he deducted for that but added $600.00 to put a new 4way faucet in the shower, A faucet that I paid over $300.00 for including items to put it in when he went to get parts.
I managed to get him down to a total of $3100.00
I don't like to call a person a thief BUT IF THE SHOE FITS THAT'S ABOUT $300.00 PER HOUR
