Company Home Improvement licensed only within [redacted] NC, city limits. They will not provide customer with license number or business address. No advertising; just door-to-door scams with a 50% up front deposit. Contract obligations not met; asks for more money than the contract states and will not complete the job per contract without balance of full payment paid up front. [redacted] entered under my house without permission or my knowledge until he indicated I had a leak (but not sure what was leaking) I asked for pictures of before and after to be printed or e-mailed to me which was not provided. They were to finish staining the deck pergola, rails, and one set/side of posts. I showed them what needed to be stained. Too much stain was put on the rails which made it too thick and looks painted instead of stained. I brought it to their attention and asked them to wipe it off which was not done. Deck floor not stained evenly. They did not bring any supplies: i.e., ladders, brushes, paint containers, etc. and used mine that were in my garage or on the deck already. I had to ask them to clean them especially when [redacted] spilled the container of stain all over the ladder. Polycarbonate panels were to be ordered and installed on the top of the pergola which also was not done. [redacted] (owner) and [redacted] (partner) were rude and insisted they did the work as indicated in the contract. This is totally untrue; I told them in a couple phone conversations that they needed to read the contract.Product_Or_Service: Repair, finish staining, purchase and install roofDesired SettlementRequest a refund of the $1500 deposit for purchase of materials (not purchased)leaving a balance of $1500 upon completion. Contract states 10 year labor guarantee on all work performed. Less than acceptable work done. I will have to hire someone else to sand rails and reapply stain to deck floor and have under the house inspected. This company should have their license revoked for very poor work and misleading customers, being rude and argumentative, refusing to provide company information.Business Response We did everything like was suppose To be done we finish everything yes there was a 2ft section That needed to be gone over on the deck I sent my guys over there two times fixing it and she still didnt like it and it looked real good!! we tryed are best making the lady pleased and happy there was no way to make her happy to be paid she wouldnt pay us the rest of are money so I told my workers to not worry about going back too do that roof... I was given 1500 dollars to stain A deck and to do some under house work and if she was gonna pay the other 1500 we were gonna put down a roof over her decK but she said she want giving nomore money and I couldnt do it for free.. I had 2 men over there for 4 days each man made 120 a day so that was 960 for labor 50 dollars in gas for 4 days that was 200 and then 240 dolars was for materials So the company didn't make but $100 Because she wouldnt pay the rest of the money so I think she should be pleased she got us out of 1500 dollars well take the roof money off she got us out of 750 dollars.... And to be said the last guys she had working she did the same thing didnt pay them there money and said the work didnt look good... she is scamming People to do free work on her house.... this is the first time I have had this done to me I cant believe a person would do this to people that are trying to make a living and do real good work

New roof put on house Oct. 2013, water pouring into house and additional work and cost involved July 2014, additional leaks and water pouring in.Roof continues to have large leaks after duplicate billings for roof replacement and paying well over the original contract price. Just want quality repairs completed with no more additional costs.Desired SettlementRoof being repaired completely with no additional costs.

Repairs were not satisfactory. The issues remain unresolved. Phone calls are not answered and appointments are not kept.On 08/15/2014 Coastal Maintenance and Home Repair (owned by[redacted], [redacted]) wrote a proposal for home repair for a $2800. The foreman for the job was [redacted] ([redacted]?) The repair was to include replacement of wood and repairs to end a leak behind siding causing rot and fix a leak on the front porch. To date, the leaks are still there and the wood that was used to repair the siding is falling off. The wood on the roof is still rotten. Another proposal for $1700 was given to repair the front porch to prevent further cracking of concrete. To date, debris has not removed from under the house and is contributing to moisture issues. A third proposal for $1,600 was written on 08/19/2014 to repair sagging plywood in the attic and stop water seeping inside of the chimney. To date, the inside of the chimney still leaks. After calling daily for many weeks, a representative of the company came in early January and agreed that the work was not satisfactory. A proposal was written to fix all of the problems and an agreement was reached to have the work completed by 02/01/2015. Although several appointments were scheduled, the work has not be completed. First visit - look at the needed repairs. Second visit - forgot his ladder.(some tar was placed under a few singles) Third visit - forgot his saw. No visit or call since. A five year warranty was given on all work as stated on the contract.During the initial work phase, there were days when no one showed up. The work crew did not bring ladders so mine were used. During the hottest time of the summer, they brought no water, so I provided water. All of the debris was to be loaded onto MY trailer with the understanding that it would be used to haul away trash. When they finally finished, the yard was littered with cigarette butts, roofing nails and other trash. On August 23, the foreman of the company arrived to clean up the site only to say that he did not feel comfortable using my trailer. He then loaded the trash onto his truck and gave a half-hearted effort to clean my yard. In the process, the tailgate of my trailer was thrown away. Phone records indicate dozens of calls with only a few answered with promises to return. There is no answering service. A refund of $4,450 requested.Desired SettlementThe total amount on three contracts is $6100. I am seeking a refund on $4450.

Crew "foreman" tore off shingles/flashing to show underlying damage; repairs were agreed on. Never returned to fix, now have additional water damage.I hired this company to clean out my gutters at the end of February. While they were doing my gutters, the crew "foreman" [redacted] pointed out some problems he had found that needed simple repairs. My roof had been replaced a few years back, but apparently they did not replace the flashing around the chimney, causing wood rot underneath and allowing water to leak into the area around the outside electrical panel. As this company had (supposedly) done some work for a neighbor, and the "foreman" [redacted] seemed knowledgeable about roofs, we agreed on a reasonable estimate and he promised that the repairs would be done later that week, and would only take a few hours. He even left some materials at my house for the repairs. (They are still here, as well as a hammer he left that is still on my roof.) Due to bad weather, he called to reschedule a few days later, and has never returned.I called for several weeks and left messages on the number he gave me, as well as emailed the email address provided. I have never received a reply. (With the exception of a 1am phone call from the number that I recognized as [redacted]'s due to the odd area code, and who was either drunk or on drugs, and then pretended to be someone named [redacted] and tried to get me to divulge personal information. By the way, if he ever calls me again, I will contact the police.) Now I have additional damage from all of the rain running underneath my torn up flashing and shingles. I would not recommend that anyone use this company, they are not reliable.Desired SettlementI have done my homework, and I am now having a well-known reputable company do the repairs, and I want reimbursement for that as well as the cost of fixing any additional damage that I have incurred as a result of [redacted] tearing up the flashing and surrounding shingles.
