I contacted Michael *C*** **, Ceo & President of coastline janitorial & floor cleaning to get my carpet cleaned along with my wood and marble floors which were to be buffed and finishedHe gave me a quote over the phone but I requested that he come out to my home to take a look at what needs to be done so that I can have and accurate estimate before I decide on using his company The evening of May 17th 2016, Mike came out and gave me an estimate of $to Clean and buff the marble and wood floors and carpet cleaning of rooms including carpet deodorizerI agreed to paying that amount and scheduled for him to come back the very next day because he stated he was leaving to go out of the country. He offered no contract or any service agreementThe next day he was scheduled use to arrive at pmHe did not arrive until7:pmAt that time I decided to go run some errands .because he told me that it will take about hours for the cleaning and hours to dry When I returned about 9:pm ..Mike had already completed the marble floor and was in the middle of cleaning the wood floor ..the marble floor still looked the same of which I made mention ofHe then told me that the floors needed to be stripped and he will have to go out to get additional supplies to do so and the price will increase another $I told him when he came out to give me an estimate and an assessment of the floors when I asked him did he need to strip the floors his response was "no"He then when on to say that he didn't know that there was wax build up on the floorsNeedless to say , I agreed to pay an additional $He then left to go purchased additional supplies to strip the wood floor while his partner was cleaning the carpet . During the cleaning process I brought to his partners attention that the carpet still looked the same...he then stated that he couldn't find all the lights in the rooms so he couldn't see very well but will go back over some of the spotsAt about 12pm they were about to clean the last roomI told them that it was getting extremely late and asked that they return the next day to finishHe requested that I pay before he left which totaled $The next morning I noticed the carpet was extremely wet , the marble floors looked the same , the baseboards had wax buildup from the floors being buffed and what was spilled over to the carpet and baseboard and the carpet looked as if it wasn't cleaned I immediately contacted Mike about my concerns. When he came back out to finish the last room, he attempted to reclean some of the carpeted areas which made the carpet more wet and told me he would have to strip the marble floor which will be an additional costAs that point I was very disappointed and dissatisfied withy the way things turned outAfter they cleaned the the last room ..water from the machine dripped all on the wood floors leaving white spots everywhere and the baseboards still had wax from the floor and the cleaning solution soaked into the carpet from cleaning the floors He then left and told me he will take of it once he comes back from his vacationDuring his leave, I sent Him a message stating that the carpet was still soaking wet after day and it started to smell really bad as there was no deodorizer put down I told him that I was displeased and would like to have the carpet Cleaned again once he returned. On may 24th I received a return call back from Mike , saying that he did receive my message and the he was going to another vacation and once he come back from that he will resolve the issueI didn't speak to him again until June 1st I explained to him how the carpet was taking longer to dry and that I had to turn the heat to help it dry and that the entire house smellsHe then went on to say that," the problem with the smell came from me Turing the heat on for the carpet to dry and that I should not have done that"! Again I explained to him that there was no instructions, no contract, no deodorizer , no nothing and I could not reach him or anyone else for that matterWe continue the conversation about the situation for an hour .He then agreed to refund me back for all the rooms that was carpetedHe told me he would be out the very next day to take a look at my concerns and refund me back . The next day I called him several times as we were scheduled to meet at 6pmHe then told me..he had to go "see his realtor "and "do some other stuff "and he will call me By pm .I still had not heard back from himI called several times and he finally returned the call at 10:pmHe never said or apologize for not showing up to take a look at what my concerns were and to smell how bad my home was from the carpetHe the told me he will refund me back to my credit card for the rooms that was wet the mostI told him that was not what we agreed toHe then told me that it wasn't his fault that I turned the heat on to dry the carpet which was what created the smell, he also said that because I wanted the carpet really clean the water soaked into the padding, and that it wasn't his fault that I didn't have enough lighting in my home for them to see to be able to Clean the carpet properly. At this point I was so angry that I told him ..you ripped me off $of which you agreed to refund me back $but then you reneged and only wanted to give me back $99? I could not believe itI then told him to either refund me back as he agreed the day before or we can do it the legal wayHis response was " then do it then" and he disconnected the call.At this time I'm asking for a full refund of the $that I payed .because the carpets were soaking wet down to the padding I was forced to replace the rooms with new carpet and I have the receipts to showI also had to have my baseboards cleaned of which the wax from him cleaning and stripping the floors will not come outI am now in the process of having to replace the carpet of the room that the stripping solution spilled on the carpet and won't come outI also had to have the carpet re cleaned and deodorized to get the smell outThis situation has cost me more than it was worth and I would like a refund in full as he agreed to do per our conversation
