I have been a customer for several years. We had bundled all three services, internet/cable TV/landline phone. For years, we dealt with resetting the router continuously to regain internet connection. The last few weeks, it became worse and worse and stopped working all together. This mean the phone was out too, as the landline still uses the internet for service rather than traditional phone lines. For about a month, we had no internet and no phone. We went in person to schedule a tech to come out. They never showed up. We called back to find out what happened and left a message. We received NO call back. We reach out again a few days later. My wife talked to the person who answered the phone. This person argued with my wife that the tech did show up and he/she wouldn't be able to come back for another week or two. The person continued to be extremely rude to my wife. After thinking about how they treated us, we canceled the service. In order to cancel, we needed to bring back the equipment before we could be released. When I took back the equipment, they barely asked why we were cancelling service. When I explained the situation, no one apologized or even expressed concern that we were unhappy with the service. All we wanted was what we paid for....we were not looking for a freebie or extra stuff. This company had no right to treat us this way, especially after years and years of putting up with such a poor quality of service. Even the TV channels were scrambled most of the time and were unwatchable. Since they are one of the only providers in town, its apparent they do not care about customer service at all. I highly recommend finding any other provider than this company.

Review: Coaxial Cable advertises their telephone service for $34.95 per month with unlimited calling, with all calling features and long distance included. Being that it was this price and with the features included, I signed up for this service. I've had MANY issues with this service, so I have called on many many many occasions with my concerns. My telephone call log to Coaxial Cable is attached.

I was then directed to and spoke with Mr. Christopher [redacted], the Manager. My biggest concern is that I am paying for telephone service and I have no working telephone jacks in my home. When I relayed this to Mr. [redacted], he informed me that there is a charge of $35.00 per hour with a minimum of six (6) hours worth of work in my home. This is NOT disclosed in the customer agreement that is signed by me, nor was I informed at any time about this charge by Mr. [redacted] or any of Coaxial Cable employees.

Mr. [redacted] then informed me that he "knew for a fact" that [redacted] maintaince employees installed my telephone jacks in my home and that I should contact them to repair my telephone jacks.

After an extensive research with [redacted] and [redacted] it was founded that [redacted] did NOT install the telephone jacks and that all telephone jacks in my home are FULLY functional and are capable of running with no issues -- mainly due to the fact that this is a new home that was built in 2007 and for the fact that [redacted] has ran telephone service to my home in the past, and never had any telephone jack or repair issues. I have notarized statements from [redacted] employees (mainly Dean P[redacted]) a statement from [redacted] and a statement from Hayes Electric that my telephone jacks are fully functional and need absolutely NO repair what so ever.

Of all my telephone calls to Mr. [redacted] seeking miscellaneous or minor issues, Mr. [redacted] had absolutely NO idea on how to fix these issues, yet he is the Manager, and then informed me that I need to contact the company that Coaxial Cable has contracted for telephone services directly, [redacted]. I have a written statement by their head technician, Mr. [redacted] stating that all of my issues and concerns could have all been handled over the telephone by Mr. [redacted], as any good Manager could and would do for a paying customer.

Lastly, there are twenty-nine (29) H.A.N.D.S owned homes on my street. After I did research with all of them, it was founded that they too have had extreme difficulty in dealing with Coaxial Cable, thus they have all have been forced with no other option to satellite for their cable services and have resorted into cellular telephones for their telephone service. Edinboro community has created a Facebook page expressing all of their concerns with Coaxial Cable. Currently, they are up to 118 complaints, posted on Facebook.

My next step along with all other Edinboro residents is to contact the Attorney General directly.Desired Settlement: To have Coaxial Cable turn on my telephone wall jacks and make them functional, as I have no functioning telephone and I am paying for telephone service.

Mr. [redacted]'s phone service is currently active. Our company policy prevents us from performing any structural modifications to a housing unit without the express written authorization provided by the owner of the property. It should be noted that our policy reflects the standard industry practice to wait until there is written permission from a property owner before making structural modifications.

This cable company has frequent outages, problems with individual stations, and eliminates channels at their pleasure. It is a shameful way to do business
