Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. They allowed group rates at the door last year The year before they allowed unlimited Star Telegram gold press passes at $ Two of us called to ensure we could obtain group tickets at the door, so they are calling us liars The brochure was clear and specified that the group rate was $ It did not state "must be purchased in advance".They have Arlington family's that will never accept their $offer and never attend another Theater Arlington event unless they make this right Our offer is at no cost to them because if it is not accepted, we will never attend another show or event Never is a long time We have been attending for years They should personally give the lost $from our non-attendance in October to charity.
Regards,

They treated us horribly during our attempted admission to the event and they are calling us liars about speaking to the Theater Arlington Box office Their offer is unacceptable and they should be ashamed of their lack and method of proper advertisement and handling of the event I will continue to discuss with the participating vendors and update the blog They have lost at least residents from ever attending and hopefully the blog will continue to spread through Facebook In addition, my wife and I will never attend another Theater Arlington play. *** ***

BUSINESS MESSAGE:I received on Monday, November 30, Complainant's response to my response, and am responding to it below. It seems that we agree on some points. However, there remains disagreement in two areas:1) How Complainant's party was treated the evening of the event.2) Whether or not there was a call to the Box Office prior to the day of the event. As to the first disagreement, there are a good many witnesses to all of the conversations that occurred between the Party and the Theatre on the evening of the event. Although it was a difficult situation, no Theatre Arlington witness says that any member of their party was treated horribly. In fact, the woman who had the longest conversation with the Complainant, *** *** ***, has a reputation with actors and patrons alike of having the sweetest, most gentle disposition. It would be completely out of character for her to treat any patron rudely, and I do not believe that she did so.As to the second disagreement, I, along with other staff and Board members have interviewed all possible people who could have answered the phone on the days leading up to the event, and no-one recalls anyone calling and asking if group tickets could be purchased at the door. We agree that the flyer could have been more clear, that is why we made a good compromise offer that was addressed by me in my original response to his complaint. Please see points 1-in my 11/response. I will be happy to include them in their entirety if you would like me to do so.Our offer was a compromise to his excessive demand, which we feel is unreasonable because it far exceeds the value of what he lost. First, the complainant suffered no monetary damage. He attempted to obtain $at-the-door tickets for the reduced pre-event group rate of $30, a savings of $15. However, when he was not allowed to purchase the $tickets for $30, he refused to purchase any tickets. Because he did not purchase tickets, he did not suffer monetary loss. Second, his attempt was to receive a $savings off of the at-door ticket price. He contends that the only way for TA to resolve this issue is to give him $VIP tickets, four times the savings that he was attempting to get at the door, and after suffering no monetary damage. I extended the following offer to a list of emails that Complainant sent to me, which he responded were the other members of his party:I want to extend to you, and to your group, an offer which we feel is fair to all concerned. This offer is made only to you and the other individuals who attempted to enter Taste of Arlington this past October. We have completed a thorough investigation involving all Staff members, volunteers and some Board members of the Theatre, and we have not uncovered any other individual or group that had requested discount tickets on the day of the event, nor anyone else who has requested compensation of any kind. I have responded to the Revdex.com complaint and am awaiting an answer from them. We deeply regret causing any embarrassment and inconvenience to you or anyone else in your party, and want to have you come back next year. We are completely changing the nature and the location of next year's event and, because it will become a Main Street food and arts festival, we may not even offer a VIP section. Because our event next year will be much larger in scope, all of our ticket prices will most likely be more that this year's prices across the board. Many more restaurants are wanting to participate next year, complete with cooking demonstrations and more varied entertainment! You and others will like what we have planned a lot, and we want you to attend. Our offer is exclusive to your group, no one else will have this opportunity, and we want to extend it to you as a way of expressing our apology for not allowing the group tickets to be sold to you at the door. Our offer stands that will allow you to purchase up to five tickets for $per ticket. This will lock in a price to you for next year, no matter what increase is made to group, Press-Pass, early bird or regular price. This offer will not be extended to anyone else outside your group. We also need to put a time limit on this offer to you of days from the time of this email, we would very much like to settle this so that all of us can heal and go back to leading productive lives. Please feel free to reply with any questions or comments that you may have. Again, we hope to see you at our event next year! Every patron of the theatre, and all of its fundraising events, is highly valuedWe want to do everything we can to be fair in our dealings and to show everyone how much we appreciate their support and friendship, while recognizing that all revenue is critical to our continued success. The proceeds raised from Taste of Arlington provide funding for our children's programs in Title (predominantly low income) schools across Arlington, It would be my pleasure to show you where your contributed funds go and how they help our youth become more confident and productive! Please contact me so that we can visit more about all of this.Best Regards,***This offer allows each couple to purchase up to five tickets to next year's event for $per ticket, a dramatic savings from what they were willing to pay this year, and an increase in the number of tickets they can purchase at this price from to up to 30. This would certainly benefit the people who wanted to attend this year, and would also allow them to include more of their friends and family at a price that will be exclusive to this group. What is really disturbing is that complainant has attempted to damage innocent contributors because he is unhappy. He created a Blog, asking them to no longer participate in Taste of Arlington, and publicly called for a boycott of the restaurants who had absolutely nothing to do with what is in his complaint as they did not control the gate, or sell tickets. He continues in his response to the Revdex.com as well as to seek damage to the Theatre. Below is his most recent communication to me, which followed my offer to his group (copied/pasted as received by me):You attempt to contact the participates with your $offer has been laughed about by the group. Try talking to any of them and maybe you’ll understand whyYou should spend your time more constructively.Name RedactedIt is important to note that I have invited dialog between myself and the participants of his group, both individually or as a group, in an attempt to reach a fair settlement. In fact, one of the members of the group in addition to Complainant's wife, has accepted our offer as of this date:***,I appreciate your offer for next year and will be glad to take you up on this offer We were extremely disappointed when we were turned down at the door after being told that we could purchase the reduced group tickets at the door on the phone by one of your people In my group we had two college students that surely couldn't afford the $a person to get in The only reason they wanted to join us is they thought it was $a person for a fun evening with good food and time with family and friends We went last year and bought our tickets at the door for the reduced price because we were a group of We spent the few days before planning our evening and were looking forward to it and at the same time supporting a good cause This misunderstanding can be avoided next year with clear and exact advertising on the brochures I will take your offer to lock in tickets at $for Taste of ArlingtonSent from my iPadMy response to this person follows:We will make available to you tickets at $for Taste of Arlington and will let you know of the date of the event as soon as it is firmed up. We will also be happy to include you on an email list of people who will receive advance information on Taste 2016, and will appreciate any other suggestions you may have for us on how to make this a better event for all who attend! Again, I do apologize for what happened to you and your group on the night of our Taste, if you should visit with any of the others who were there (*** sent me by email their addresses and I have extended the same offer to them) please let them know that we sincerely would like for them to join with you, and have a wonderful time at our next event. I will also seek their input on our new event as I have done with you. Best Regards,***We feel that we have acknowledged all of our possible errors and/or vague communications in this incident, and have offered a very reasonable compromise to Complainant and his group, which was acknowledged as reasonable by Complainant's spouse and accepted by a member of his party. Our compromise offers all participants to receive a much larger benefit than what was sought the evening of the event. Complainant seeks essentially quadruple the money he would have saved the evening of the event, which is not a reasonable demand, especially considering that he did not pay any money then and suffered no monetary loss. I will send a folloffer to the group later this week, mentioning the day deadline and again offering to meet with them individually or as a group. We sincerely wish to settle this in a fair manner.Best Regards,*** ***
