Coco LaRue/Coco's Specialty Shop Reviews (1)

Let me introduce myself my name is Regina C L[redacted] and I’m the owner and Operator of CoCo L[redacted] Hair Extensions DC. I’m one of Washington DC Celebrity Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist. On Friday May 18th [redacted] called my place of Business in Washington DC to inquire about Hair Extensions. He stated...

the day before he went to another Salon to get a haircut but they cut his hair shorter than what he asked for. Him and I discussed the process and the cost of my hair extensions. I even emailed him this website link to confirm the $2000 charge for me to do the extensions and adding 2 bundles of Malaysian Hair. (See Link here and email is attached to response). [redacted] then after seeing those prices stated he would let me know and if so call me back after looking at my prices online. A few minutes later (10 minutes) [redacted] called me back and said he had read some of my reviews and I had the best reviews in this area for hair extensions and he wanted to go with me. I said ok great and facetime him on my cellular so that I may see his hair and the work that must be done. During this call to him he kept asking me to lower my price and give him a discount. He said he was connected to the political circle in Washington DC and he could connect me with a lot of his high-end friends. He said he was also apart of the LBGT Gay and Lesbians group here in Washington DC and could refer a lot of people to me. After asking so many times for a discount and promises to refer his friends from his political circle and the LGBT group I decided to do the service and install the hair for $1600 giving him a $400 discount.[redacted]t agreed to the now lower price of $1600 and paid the 1st portion of $800 plus the tax of $48. He text me after receiving his receipt via text that it was $48 added to the first half of the $1600. I stated to him that by LAW I must charge tax on the hair but not the service portion. He said I don’t want to pay tax so I told him I would adjust the next payment of $800 to $752 so it will be a total of $1600.The very next day on Saturday May 19th the day of the first event because he had another event on Sunday. [redacted] showed up to get his extensions. It took me 4 hours to do his hair extensions and to add the 2 bundles of hair extensions he purchased. He looked amazing and pictures are attached. During those 4 hours, I had great conversations with him, we even talked about the men in our lives. I really liked him and thought wow I possibly could have met someone I could be friends with.On Sunday May 20th the day of his second event he texted me and thanked me again for helping him with his hair and confirmed how he loved it. He also in this same text included a picture of him and the Senator he has a crush on. (Photo and text is attached). I was happy for him because he really wanted to look his best to make an impression on this Senator. On Monday May 21st [redacted] called me and we talked for at least 30 minutes about how great he looked and how good the event went. But he stated at the end of the conversation that the Senator at the event, the man he has the crush on took a picture with him but that was it. He said he didn’t give him any play and he thinks it’s because of the Hair he was wearing and the Makeup. He also asked if he could get some money refunded back because of this. I stated to him No. I already did the work and use the hair. I also gave you a discount on the service. He kept asking, asking, and asking. I said OK I’ll give you $200 back. He said ok that’s fine. The next morning on Tuesday May 22 I received an email from him stating he believes $800 would be fair and that the hair wasn’t quality and that I didn’t use the better hair. He came up with so many excuses. All this happen AFTER he worn the extensions to all his events and parties. Now that they were over he wanted some of his money back. After receiving his email, I responded to him and stated that he’s trying to con me and that I feel like this is a scam. He responded again so I decided to call him. When I called [redacted] these are the words/threats that he made to me. CoCo do you want to keep your reputations, your good reviews? I’m going to destroy you, I will destroy you. I’m going to report you to the Revdex.com, Rip OFF Report and more. He even told my Attorney that he’s going to file a fake complaint against me for discrimination against him for being gay. This is a man who was so happy with his hair when I was done and asked me if he could hug and kiss me and I allowed him too. So how is it that he can make such a false statement against me?During this phone call, he made so many threats that I drove straight to the DC Metro Police Department. They informed me that if I file a report against him for threatening me he would be arrested. I decided not too because I wasn’t trying to hurt this man I wanted him to leave me and my company out of his mouth. I was very upset and hurt over this entire situation.I since gotten my Attorney involved and he was emailing with [redacted] back and forth all last week. The Attorney then called me and informed me that he now wants $1200 instead of $800. I told him if he promises not to lie on me online and file a fake discrimination Lawsuit against Gays on me I will give him $1200. He never signed. He stated if he does sign he wanted to make sure that this agreement wouldn’t prevent him from using my name “ CoCo L[redacted] “ in his book he’s writing. No matter what I was willing to do this man wouldn’t stop.I’m currently talking to several trial Attorneys that my Business Attorney referred me too because this may end up in court. If I find any fake reviews online written I will know it’s him and immediately file a Lawsuit against him for slander. The 2 trial Attorneys that I spoke to both said I don’t owe him anything and stated I would have a very good case against [redacted]. They stated by him trying to get money back from me and the salon where he received the bad haircut was extortion & fraud and they would report him to immigration to have him possibly sent back to his country.Everything I have stated in my response is true and I know for sure after seeing my evidence any Judge in America would agree.Thank YouL[redacted] Enterprise LLC Dba CoCo L[redacted] Hair ExtensionsRegina C L[redacted] CEO
