Review: Contractor estimated work and took deposit of #100 on Aug 9, 2015 to install a residential railing outside the house.

Contractor estimated 3-5 weeks to completion

Contractor was contacted on the following dates to schedule railing installation and never showed up to date - Oct 30, 2015:

9/11/2-15 @ 3:36pm - installation was promised the following week

9/16/2015 @ 3:08PM - installation was promised in 2 days

9/18/2015 @ 1:59PM - sample was promised in 1 day

9/21/2015 @ 8:56PM - promised to get back asap

9/24/2015 @ 9:07AM - no response

9/25/2015 @ 11:27AM - no response

9/28/2015 @ 10:26AM - no response

9/29/2015 @ 8:43AM - promised an installation date today

9/30/2015 @ 12:46PM - no response

10/1/2015 @ 8:41AM - no response

10/5/2015 @ 3:21PM - promised to call. no call followed. promised by text msg to install by 10/9/2015.

10/20/2015 - no railing installed.

10/30/2015 - filing this form.

At this point, the contractor is endangering any person entering the house since no railing is installed.Desired Settlement: Would like to get my $100 deposit back.

Review: This company now goes by the name C.O.D. sales, It has removed my double entrance gates, ( Two sets) a year ago and will not bring them back. I call many times a day to the owners cell number [redacted] ###-###-#### but he won't answer and his phone is always full so you can't leave a message. When you are able to leave a message I ask him to bring my gates back. They will not respond to my calls, and they have 15,000.00 dollars in merchandise of mine( the Gates) I want them back. Review: On June 15th, 2013 [redacted] took a check in the amount of $100.00, and a railing mounted on wood for entrance in and out of my garage. He was going to install a new gate in our yard, and replace the garage railing. He told us he would be in touch with us by the following Monday. He did not. He did not answer phone calls, his voice mail wouldn't accept messages, his office numbers were not working. He cashed the check on June 4th. We received an e mail from his wife, June 26th, claiming all [redacted]' sytems crashed. She again gave us his cell phone #. July 3rd, we sent an e mail to [redacted], [redacted] wife, asking for our railing and deposit back questioning his business practices. [redacted] replied to us on July 5 promising the situation will be made right. [redacted] is an upstanding businessman, who would not take our money and run. She will push him to call us. Never heard from him. We tried calling [redacted], who is [redacted] father, and also an owner of COD Industries. He, too, promised to correct the situation. After 2 phone calls to him, he also never showed up. July 23 was my final e mail to [redacted]. I told her how I will be filiing charges because [redacted] took $100.00 under false pretenses and removed the railing from our garage which my handicapped husband NEEDS to safely get in and out of the garage.

To this date, we have heard nothing from anyone. [redacted] just helped himself to our money and ran. How many other cutomers has he done this to?Desired Settlement: I want the $100.00 returned, and the garage railing. He has left my husband in a very unsafe position.
