The were called when my mother had a stroke in 2010, the guys that came for her were amazing. Not only did they put mom at ease while they were caring for her, but one stayed to the side and helped me calm down. We lost mom in 2011, but we saw different folks from this company as things went on. It was a total surprise to us the day we left the hospital to go to the nursing home because it was Samaritan Ambulance that was called to take her to her new home. I spoke with the two from Samaritan and found out that they do both emergencies and non-emergency trips AND they have wheelchair vans. The crew also gave me a card with their info (I didn't realize you could call an individual ambulance company).
After we got mom settled in I spoke to the manager over her unit and asked if I could make a special request they use Samaritan for her appointments and future trips? I was shocked when she smiled and said 'no'. She laughed and said that they already use Samaritan Ambulance and they are the only service the entire facility is using right now.
The people that work for Samaritan Ambulance have been some of the nicest, most compassionate, and professional people I have met. If you are searching for medical transportation or an ambulance service in general this is the place to call.
