1st CDL Training Center of Nova is training provider to secure Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia residentsThere are two major programs for CDLA (Tractor Trailers for hours) and CDL B (Dump Trucks/ Passenger Buses- hours) trainingTraining is scheduled Monday through Thursday AM to PM for full time students (hours a day)Part time students have two cohorts, from AM to PM and PM to PM (hours a day)[redacted] was enrolled in CDL A program on February 1, and was scheduled for training Monday through Thursday AM to PM (part time student)He was explained that with part time training, it would take two months to be ready to appear for road skills test at DMVFor over two months, he was trained to perform pre-trip inspection, backing maneuvers, shifting gears and also drive in city and on highwaysHe was scheduled to appear for road skills test at Fredericksburg testing location on April 12, He passed pre trip inspection part but failed backing maneuversWithout charging extra payment, we continued to train him and scheduled his road skills test second time on April 20, at Woodbridge testing locationHe failed again to perform backing maneuversHe was explained in detail about training process, expected/projected road skills test date at DMV and refund policy when he enrolled in the programOne week is good enough time to figure out that training schedule is consistent with someone's expectations or the student would need to opt out of programIt is not understood that why did he wait for more than two and half months to initiate the disputeContract signed clearly states that there is no refund after one monthHe was trained in all aspects of training and he was himself confident to appear for the testHis own inability to cope up with road test pressure and failing the test does not qualify him for refund or reimbursement.He failed second road skills test on April 20, and he initiated complain the next dayThis is an international attempt to receive special and superior treatment with a threat of suing the company if his demands are not metOwner of 1st CDL Training Center of Nova contacted him to resolve the issue amicably with an understanding to continue working with him to pass the testHe initially agreed to resolve the matter and even sent an email to owner (copy enclosed) and later visited the training center asking for a refund.Training Center has successfully trained serving and retired officials from US Army and Coast GuardWe have also successfully trained clients being referred by Government and private organizations[redacted] told us that wanted refund to pay his rent and other bills to avoid possible eviction from his apartmentWe will continue to work with him to provide more training and schedule his one more road skills test at no extra chargeThere is no refund or reimbursement as we have trained him for more than two and half monthsWe did not have any contract to refund or reimburse payment if any student fails the test on completion of training.Theodora J [redacted] (Office Manager)

As explained in our previous response, we are unable to refund the amount after one monthContract clearly states that we do not guarantee that student will pass the test or that student will be employedHow can we refund loss of income when passing of CDL exam was not guaranteed and securing of job was also not guaranteed?Thank you

why you are expecting the law to defend only the part of the contract that you
wish to be respectedIf your company is not respecting your own contract why
would you expect to look clean in front of the law? You are repeating that the
contract states no refund after a certain period, but you haven’t deliver the
hours stated in the contractYou lie about hours and days not stated in the contract
or the fact that I wasn’t a full time studentWorst, you forced your client to
leave your premises after the price was fully paid, because *** ***

Part time students have two cohorts, from 9 AM to 1 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM (4 hours a day).[redacted] was enrolled in CDL A program on February 1, 2016 and was scheduled for training Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 1 PM (part time student). For over two months, he was trained to perform pre-trip inspection, backing maneuvers, shifting gears and also drive in city and on highways.
