Review: Our newly built home done in December of 2011 is showing cement issues not long after we moved in. We noticed 6 months later how badly our front porch and the lip on the outside of our garage was severely chipping away. We did call them and they first told us that there can be a 5 percent of the surface chert aggregate in it to fall within the concrete industry standard. De-icing can also cause some of the chipping plus not having a seal can cause these problems. That was a very mild winter. They did finally come out in spring of 2013 and realized how bad the chipping looked and decided to redo those two things. At the time we also showed them our garage floor and all the pin holes in the concrete floor. They told us it should have been sealed which we did do back in July of 2012. Once that was mentioned they told us they would have someone from the concrete company come out and look at it.

Schawn Schoepke from the concrete company came out and had told me it was probably like that when they first laid out the concrete flooring in the garage. I guess neither wanted to take the blame for the lousy job.

At this time we are very dissatisfied with the work they did and are afraid the garage floor will just keep getting worse. Having the garage floor which is a 3 car garage and attached to our house could possibly cause major problems down the road for us.Desired Settlement: repair the damage.
