Worst experience EVER!!! We signed up for Spring hockey on March 5 then Covid hit March 14th, and the world shut down forcing hockey to be cancelled due to the Canadian border being closed to us Americans amongst other obvious Covid reasons. The Academy is refusing to refund our $1000. They will only refund $333. This program is an absolute JOKE. Save yourself the headache and find another program for you kids!
I am requesting %50 of Tuition fees refunded for the 2019/20 Season.
The reasons why will be stated below:
We were promised the following in exchange for paying the Academy tuition for the U18 Midget Rep team.
• 40-45 games; non league (tournament based with exhibition games)
• 3 hrs on ice training per week; tue/thur practice day's (optional extra hour on Friday's)
• 2 hours of off ice dryland training per week
• Video instruction and nutrition training
• Cost of all tournaments and games
• Gym access for training supervised by staff
40-45 Games:
Only 24 games were played as of January 7th, 2020
Concerning 3 hrs on ice training per week:
On average, the kids are losing half an hour per week. As of 01/07/20 we have had 38.5 hrs of Practice ice time. At this point we are short 9.5 hrs which is over 3 weeks of practice ice time.
We have practices scheduled until March 12. 10 weeks of 2.5 hrs/week resulting in 5 hrs of lost ice time. By the end of the season we are short 14.5 hrs of practice ice time-Almost 5 weeks of practice ice time. By the end of the season we will have 63.5 hrs of practice ice time costing $12,700 based on $200/hr cost from the rink.
Concerning 2hrs of Off Ice Training per week:
The kids have only had 4, maybe 5 hours of dryland training since the beginning of the season in roughly 16 weeks.
Considering Video Instruction and Nutrition Training:
There has been No Video or Nutrition Training
Gym Access for training supervised by staff:
None provided
Cancellation of Tournaments:
At this time we have had 3 Tournaments cancelled.
Due to Safe Sport Violations by the Administration 5 skaters resigned from the team leaving them without ice time, but were forced to pay the full tuition in order to get a release to skate with another team next season.
The Coeur d'Alene Academy did not fulfill their contractual obligations and a refund is warranted.
The Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy is refuting the complaint to the Revdex.com. We can guarantee we have provided all necessary deliverables to our customers.
· In fact, one, we have provided a 40-game schedule, 36 which have been played. Games will continue into March.
· Second, Two and a half hour of ice time has been delivered on with an optional ice time practice on Fridays.
· Third, we offer dry land every day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. along with the fact they have dryland every Tuesday and Thursday scheduled for 6 months at 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. for this team.
· Fourth, we have provided 4 hours of video instruction already by December and have continued with 4 more hours at this point.
· Last, the CDA Hockey Academy regardless of number of games played, practice time scheduled, dryland that was scheduled until March 13th. for all our Academy Teams continues to provide an actual 10-month program for all skaters in our Academy until the end of May. Ice is paid for and the dryland facility is open for practice. Our U18 Midget Rep Team is contracted from September to March with games, Ice practice and dryland. In conclusion, the CDA Hockey Academy has always provided free ice and dryland from March 13 on until the end of May for all other Academy teams. This is a service and benefit that can’t be matched by any other association in the entire Northwest.
· The program that Mrs. is questioning at the Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy in not providing services is still in session and has not been completed for the year, so the statement by Mrs. is refutable as you would not be able to make a proper statement on what was or not provided.
· Mrs.’s student athlete, *** has been released from Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy per her request prior to the season being finished. Release 1/10/20
· Accusations on the Academy came from Mrs. after confronting the behavior of her and her husband attending a hockey game in Eastern Washington and having to be escorted from the premises by other parents because of their belligerent behavior being displayed to not only adults, but young student athletes. Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy has a statement from the coach attending that expressed not only were they escorted from the premises, but upon leaving continued to “burn rubber” out of the parking lot. This kind of behavior is not acceptable in our Academy, and is not what we stand for, so the
situation had to be addressed.

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because the response is
completely false, and unsubstantiated. The
schedules, emails, text messages, and testimony from the team disprove the comments
regarding video analysis, ice time and dry land comments. The complaint and the Academy's failure to meet contractual obligations still stands.
