This response is requiring complaint ID #[redacted]On May 3, 2017 customer brought in 51 small lace dishes for a high fire (white stoneware) at $1 a piece. I also explained that the dust needed to be removed because it could make glaze pit. Pick up would be a week (May 10, 2017).Customers parents came...

in on May 20th for pick up and expressed that their daughter wanted them glazed but was afraid to do. I explained to them to have her call and I could glaze them. Customer call May 20th and wanted glazed and fired again at $2 per piece. at this time I explained the glazes I had. She did not want the dip glaze (clear), she wanted half of the dishes white glaze and the other half matte white glaze. I did explain because of yellowish clay body that it could come out yellowish. (left over glazes were sent to customer)Each piece was glazed by hand 3 times and fire again.Yellowing is caused from clay body and pitting lace is caused from dust.Customer called on June 29, 2017 was very rude, calling me a liar and embarrassment of a business and asking for a refund.I've been in business for 29 years and certified in all the products, color and clay that I sell. Customers clay was not our product.Date of Service May 3, 2017Ending June 27, 2017Purchase price $160.65 (non-refundable)Credit card not on file or in system.

I also explained that the dust needed to be removed because it could make glaze pit. Pick up would be a week (May 10, 2017). Remark about the dust was never mentioned. Nor, does it have to do with the painting of the product which is where the dispute lies. The product was not completed until May 20th. If, May 10th was the agreement date that the product would have been completed.  10 days later than promised.Customers parents came in on May 20th for pick up and expressed that their daughter wanted them glazed but was afraid to do.  I explained to them to have her call and I could glaze them. (left over glazes were sent to customer)I dropped off the product and they were 10 days late. I live in **, which I had to go back to. It was safer to have the product painted and fired in shop due to fear of shipment damage and breakage. Product was meant to be in Snow White. Color is off-white // yellow. There is no glaze difference on half the product.I wanted them dipped, just not in a clear color since it was to be SNOW WHITE. Each piece was glazed by hand 3 times and fire again.IF each piece was painted 3x (regardless of dipped or painted) there should not be missing paint on each of the 46 received dishes (since there was 51 dishes), not including the (3 dishes which arrived broke). What happened to the other 5 dishes? She brought this up when I refused her comments that people (not sure who these people are, stated that her work was great and the bowls were painted beautifully). Not one person I have brought them in said this was done professionally or with care. This will become a he or she said battle of who was rude. Fact, I was hung up on while speaking. Fact, I called back several times after, phone went into voicemail, began leaving voicemail, phone was answered and I was repeatedly hung up on. Fact, the owner never tried reason or settle the dispute. She took the road of hanging up and not replying to someone who is out of town. I've been in business for 29 years and certified in all the products, color and clay that I sell. Customers clay was not our product.Correct, clay was not their product. Clay turned out fine. The painted product is where the complaints lie.Web views:[redacted]
