Joyce A has displayed terrible customer service and common decency. She hss taken my deposit for my upcomming wedding and not fulfilled her duty.
I am currently dealing with a nightmare by booking The Coffee Garden- Joyce A. There were numerous red flags that I should have considered such as she has no valid/public business address, demanding full payment upfront, only accepting cash or check, numerous complaints on the Revdex.com and several other bad reviews on various wedding websites. When I first made contact with Joyce she was prompt, friendly and displayed great customer service however as soon as I paid her in full for my wedding that was over 6 months away her demeanor immediately shifted. She has yet to provide me with a receipt for my wedding payment which was made back in October, thankfully I have requested a check copy from my bank so I have some sort of proof of hiring her. She has also repeatedly cancelled my venue walk through with one excuse after the next and became hard to reach. It almost seemed as if I was a bother to her when requesting a check copy, and a date for my walk through. Her terrible service in terms of my wedding is nothing compared to what I received when I requested her services for my grandfathers funeral. My grandfather passed away in late October and against my better judgment I reached out to Joyce to see if she would be able to compose a standing spray and boutonnieres for our immediate family. This was an extremely hard time for me and I had no other florist that I knew of, and with such short notice Joyce was my best bet. I made it very clear to Joyce that I wanted to use fresh Jasmines which were my grandfather's favorite flower. She confirmed that she was able to get this flower--charging me $18/each for the boutonnieres and over $200 for a standing spray. The day of my grandfather's service Joyce texted me moments before it began to tell me that she had to use silk Jasmines--not the real jasmine that I had requested and paid for. Joyce has since refused to give me any money back for the boutonnieres even though she delivered fake flowers which I never agreed upon. We all know the price difference for real vs. fake flowers is drastically different. Her actions and lack of remorse for the product(s) she delivered to my grandfather's funeral was unbelievable to say the least. She had no remorse nor did she ever apologize for the quality of work she delivered. The images that Joyce sends her clients as part of her "portfolio" are nothing close to what she delivers- I have proof and numerous pictures to back this. She yet again never showed up to my venue walk through which she agreed to do in November. However, she never once called, texted, or emailed stating she would not be available. She displays the furthest demeanor of a good business owner, her lack of professionalism is appalling- I also have text messages and email to further back this claim. I have reached out to her numerous times requesting a refund for my wedding payment and my money back for the boutonnieres that she provided. I am 4 months from my wedding and I have been unable to reach Joyce, I'm not even sure if she will show up for my wedding. Rather than getting back to me Joyce has chosen to spend her time trying to remove my reviews, which just goes to show the level of character she has.

We hired Joyce from The Coffee Garden as our florist for her amazing pitch in assurance for being the perfect aid for the day of the wedding and her floral special that she customized for us. However, she lacked communication after being paid and the contract signed. We tried to contact her for months to schedule the final consultation that was supposed to be where she guided us and talked about details of the day before the 30 day mark of our wedding. She never once tried to contact us back or to reach out to us. We understood that she had other weddings to do (we would be scared if she didn't!) but she didn't give us any reassurance for our wedding. She only contacted us by phone and wouldn't meet 1 month prior to our wedding date as if nothing was wrong to ask how many tables we actually had. When we confronted her about her lack of professionalism and that we had implemented an emergency plan b, she proceeded to lie and say that she had been in touch and was "100% Ready" for our wedding. Once we mentioned that she did not even fulfill the aspect of the final consult on her fault, she told us she would not give us a full refund and tried to bully us to pay her more. If not, she would not refund us. After hearing the slight threat, we immediately called our bank but to ask if there was anything we could do. We were told to put in a dispute through small claims court. Joyce never refunded our money or didn't email us any sort of document to even review for a chance to go through her route of refund. We're not lucky, but grateful to have saved every detail of our correspondence to add to our argument in getting our money.She even tried to say we owed money for items quoted to get more money out of us no contract was provided when we asked for the signed contract. She kept giving us avoiding to me us keep our money and flowers we paid for. Plus the address on google is fake address its doctor office.

She told us that we needed to sign a waiver and contract that prohibited us from writing negative reviews and anything that would sign a bad light on her. If not, she would not refund us. After hearing the slight threat, we immediately called our credit card company to ask if there was anything we could do. We were told to put in a dispute and we decided to wait until the verdict before posting our experience with her. Joyce never even followed through with her "refund" process and didn't email us any sort of document to even review for a chance to go through her route n refund. We are lucky and grateful to have saved every detail of our correspondence to add to our argument in getting our stolen money back. Because of her dishonorable practice of business, we had to rush and scramble to find people that would be able to assist us the day of our wedding and find greenery for our wedding. Luckily, I had already made my own paper flowers due to my husband's (then fiance's) allergies.
Also, we tried to visit her shop multiple times and had friends in town (we were out of town and drove 4 hours to meet her a couple of times without any luck) check on her store front. Up until our wedding month, November 2017, her shop has been covered with wrapping paper and is always closed. When I contacted her in July (because I had gone to her old location and found it completely abandoned looking) she told me she was going to have a grand opening and would be sending out invitations to all her brides for the special event. This obviously never happened.
We tried again in September, going to her shop and she did not let us know that she wasn't going to make it until we contacted her. We were outside of her shop, doors closed and covered with wrapping paper. She didn't pick up the phone but proceeded to text us, saying that she was waiting on *** on 417. We were very upset being that we were headed back to Tallahassee (where we live) that day and she asked us to come back later and that she didn't even bother to contact us when she was running late/in car trouble. We wasted a trip but asked if we could FaceTime her instead. After many attempts to try to schedule a FaceTime session, we called and texted again in October to schedule our 30 day Final Consultation. We originally weren't going to be able to go back to Orlando in October but being that we never had the chance to meet her in person and needed to talk about the details for the day of, we figured out a way to schedule driving 4 hours down for the day. Unfortunately, she never picked up, her phone was "disconnected" and didn't answer my texts except for one time where she claimed to be on a plane and would call me when she got to her destination. She never did and I stopped trying to contact her because I needed to figure out a Plan B in case she didn't live up to her end of the contract, which she didn't.
There is no real reason of why she couldn't have contacted us or followed through with our agreement in contract. I can say that she does post beautiful pictures of some weddings that she has completed and not cheated. However, I cannot recommend this business to anyone since may get the same treatment and experience we went through. A wedding day should not be this stressful and such a gamble.
Just be weary, read contracts thoroughly and always have a Plan B just in case you're the unlucky client out of her insane amount of clients.

We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful wedding day !!! We used The Coffee Garden for both Day of Coordination, and florals. The day was perfect ! Joyce was amazing and the day went absolutely flawless. My friends and family said it was like something out of a Hallmark movie, it was so beautiful!! I would highly recommend her to anyone getting married ~ They made our wedding day the most perfect day ever!!!

Joyce was wonderful to work with! She recognized that I was anxious about the possibility of DIY-ing my wedding flowers and she came to the rescue!! Joyce was easy to get in touch with and responded immediately (or as soon as possible if she was at another event). I just can't say enough about how thrilled I am that I reached out to her about my flowers. We chatted on the phone and I told her my budget restrictions and also what I was hoping to accomplish with that budget. We texted and emailed throughout the planning process and she was always so helpful in answering my questions. I also explained the look I was going for and when I arrived at the venue on my wedding day, the flowers weren't exactly as we had discussed- THEY WERE EVEN BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED!!! She was amazing and the flowers looked gorgeous! Joyce captured the romantic, vintage feel I was hoping for and used such beautiful flowers. I couldn't stop commenting all night at how she nailed the look so perfectly... and when I met her in person, she was just as sweet and wonderful to work with. My husband even commented to me after the wedding that he was impressed with her even though they had limited interaction! I am so grateful to Joyce for making my wedding flower dreams come true!!! If you're on the fence about getting a pro to help with your flowers or doing it yourself, I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Joyce to let her work her magic! You will not be disappointed!
