Coffeeology was developed as a market research panel through which members could provide their thoughts and opinions in surveys. In exchange for participation in those surveys, Coffeeology panelists accrued points that could be redeemed for...

rewards. A $10 reward could be earned for every 250 points that panelists accrued. This requirement was clearly communicated on the reward redemption section of Coffeeology.com.

In June 2015, the client sponsoring Coffeeology made the decision to discontinue operation of the panel due to a change in market research strategy. All panelists who had completed enough surveys to earn the 250 points necessary for a reward were contacted in order to provide them the opportunity to redeem their points for payment. 860 panelists redeemed their points for the owed rewards in advance of the closure. Additionally, we provided all panelists notification of the panel closure, as well as instructions for contacting us, on our website.

At the time the sponsoring client made the decision to discontinue operation of the panel, the plaintiff had not yet accrued 250 points; his point total was 235. When the plaintiff became aware of the closure, he contacted our office via email and was abusive and threatening to our customer service department. At that point we notified the panelist that our communications with him would not continue. He then contacted the Revdex.com.

Although he did not complete enough surveys and/or earn enough points to accrue a reward, as a customer service courtesy, we have contacted the plaintiff and have sent him the $10 payment he would have received had he earned the required 250 points.

they just sent an email saying they paid me the 10.00 I earned.I saw a 10.00 paypal from [redacted].com and I guess its them. thank you Revdex.com. this is now over and closed.
