Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely, [redacted]

We have  a signed invoice that
states that the customers  were satisfied
with the work completed at the time of service. This will be our last response,
we will not refund any money to the customer, and we will not be
uninstalling  any fixtures.  As  we
have tried to...

explain to Mrs.
[redacted],  we donot get credit for parts that have already been
installed in a customer's home from our supply houses. Our technicians said that Mr. [redacted]
was satisfied with the work when our technician was leaving the job site.
"My wife is going to love it", is what Mr. [redacted] told our technician
after the service was complete. Mr. [redacted] was happy with his purchases at the
time they were installed, and we are not sure why he is suddenly unhappy. If
Mr. [redacted] was unable to make a financial decision on behalf of the household,
(as Mrs. [redacted] stated several times) then why was he left alone knowing that
they had a plumber. coming over for an appointment
that day?We completed what the [redacted]'s asked us
to do, and at this time this will be the last response we have to the [redacted]'s.
The parts that we provide are a completely different quality, in no way
comparable to Lowes or Home Depot parts. We provide builder grade parts, (that
we warranty)  because we are confident in
their quality. If the customer were to supply their own parts, it would not be
under warranty. Therefore, we are not in the wrong in this situation. We
attempted several times to explain the situation to Mrs.[redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] even paid our
office a visit at one point, and we went through our straightforward pricing
guide with her, as we did with her husband. (We have not been in communication
with Mr. [redacted] since we provided our services.) I do not understand how we can
further explain the way our pricing/services work.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/11/29) */
This job started as me doing so for a contractor that Mr.[redacted] hired and has a contract with also named [redacted]. I do not have the contractors business name or last name. I was originally hired by [redacted] (not home owner Mr.[redacted]) to do casing...

on the home around all windows and doors. That then turned into doing all soffit and fasci as well and then they ([redacted] and Mr.[redacted]) added and wanted to include the front porch soffit as well as wrapping or casing the front porch. Job was going pretty smooth until all this came about. I asked [redacted] (the contractor) to make sure the gutters were removed so that the fasci could properly be installed numerous times and didnt have any luck getting it done. I then talked to Mr. [redacted] because I had about enough. Advised him of the day I planned on getting out to this particular job to finish up and told him he needed to contact [redacted] (the contractor) to make sure the gutters were removed once again.. I told him if the gutters are not removed I will proceed to drive by the home bc I am done wasting my time and spinning my wheels. They both got back in touch with me and promised the gutters would be removed. Needless to say they were not so I drove by the job after taking pictures. I then talked to [redacted] (contractor) and Mr.[redacted] and advised them of what I did and just got excuses as to why the gutters were still on the house. I spoke with [redacted] for quite some time and we were going to resolve the issue with out [redacted] (the contractor) being involved anymore but that went south when he started bringing up person matters and making threats. I then talked to my attorney and advised him of the situation and he told me to stop doing work on the home until we come up with an agreement and have a contract between the 2 of us. I have done much more then $2000.00 worth of work on this home and I will not go into it any further without a contract signed by myself and Mr.[redacted]. To me it seems like there are games being played and I refuse to be a part of them and I am not going to allow him to burn me out of money when all of this is going on.
If I can be of anymore help or you need any further info or have anymore questions please feel free to let me kno or ask and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/12/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have on file text messages from Chad stating that he will do the complete job (including porch) for 2000.00. Everything is on record. He is not even 1/2 finished with the job. My texts reveal that he will do the complete job for 2000.00. I'm asking for at least 1000.00 back or for him to finish what he started. There was plenty of work to be done without having to take the gutters off. He is looking for an excuse to simply run away with money.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2015/12/07) */
This whole entire job is a mess. Yes there are text messages but that is NOT our contract. The text messages and the phone calls that Mr.[redacted] DOES NOT talk about in his complaints I guess are irrelevant in the situation huh.?? There was much more work involved then where it first started and I refuse to be held responsible because he wants the job done for nothing. [redacted] (the contractor) who he has his actual written and signed contract with talked me down $585 from the start and removed some things off the list that were originally getting done. The job is MUCH MUCH further along then half way. As stated he lives in Nebraska he has no idea and hasnt seen the job in person since it was started to know what actually got done and/or what was involved. I talked and touched base with Mr.[redacted] and [redacted] at the end of every day I was working on the project as I do all of my contractors/home owners. Everything was fine till he started having problems with the contractor and I got pulled into the middle of it.. Anyway the only way I am going to go and finish what was started is if there is a written contract signed by myself and Mr.[redacted] and ONLY us and he agrees to pay the balance that he did when we talked on the phone for the front porch to be completed as well as the rest of the job.. Let me kno if there is anything further I can help with. Like I said I have no problem what so ever completing it but it needs to be a contract not text messages and phone calls having different things being able to be hidden to make myself look bad. Thank you
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 20, 2015/12/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Text messages are a legal contract. I now have record of texts between Chad and the contractor [redacted]. Chad states that even though he is doing the job for less than he wants to ....that he will accept it. Furthermore, he provides a picture of his written pricing. I would like back my 2000.00 for the headache here. This is not [redacted]'s(contractor)fault. Chad is the only one to blame here.
