Complaint[redacted] delivered dining room chairs that are a different size, stain color, and seat cushion than ordered. The will not take them back.We placed an order for several pieces of [redacted] furniture on 11/15/2013 totaling $3727. They were delivered on 12/9. The 4 dining room chairs are not the same stain color, size, and seat cushion material as produced by [redacted]. We were talked into allowing [redacted] to leave the chairs until the issue could be resolved, either by their picking them up later or by replacing them with acceptable [redacted] chairs. We should not have agreed to not making them return them on the spot. We did not pay for the chairs. We paid for all of the other furniture items. We put the chairs in a closet where they are not. They have not been used at all. I sent an email to the [redacted] sales person a few days later ensuring that they know that we will not keep the chairs and asking when they will pick them up. Mr. [redacted] called me today (11/17) to tell me that [redacted] will not take the chairs back and that we must keep them and pay for them. When we looked closely at the chairs we saw that they chairs are not made by [redacted], instead by [redacted] in China. [redacted] furniture is made in the USA. It is clear now why Mr. [redacted] cannot return them to [redacted]. These are not the chairs that we contracted with [redacted] to supply.Desired SettlementWe did not pay for these chairs and do not want something that we did not order. At this point we would like for [redacted]s to pick up the chairs since they belong to them. Mr. [redacted] declined to pick them up saying that he expects payment. I do not want a negative on my credit report but also will not pay for something different than we ordered.Business Response Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Nothing to accept or reject as yet. Appears that [redacted] is trying to return the chairs if [redacted] agrees. That was not our deal and is really up to them to dispose of the chairs in the manner best for them. One thing is that at the time they delivered the chairs their salesperson, [redacted] told me that we could return the chairs since they were not acceptable. She suggested, and I regrettably allowed it, that we retain the chairs because of a Christmas party that we had planned. This was the reason for wanting the chairs. [redacted] said that they would pick up the chairs once they could determine if they could get the correct replacements or not. Fortunately, we put the chairs away and have not used them at all. I do wish that I had required them to take the chairs with them. [redacted] suggested that we temporarily retain them and she agreed that we would not pay for them. so [redacted] just needs to pick up the chairs.Final Business Response
