Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond here ONLY]1) The recitation of the devices regarding my skylights is incorrect.  Ray Noland Roofing has been to my home ove half a dozen times to fix skylights, completely unrelated to one visit to repair damage from a raccoon.  This can be confirmed by several painters I've had involved to repair the interior damage from the skylight leaks.  Ray Noland Roofing did reimburse the first painter, by not thereafter, nor did I make such a request.2) The description of their response regarding the mold and algae on my roof is incorrect.  In January 2015, I contacted [redacted] with the firm about the mold and that when checking, I learned that my shingles had been involved in a class action lawsuit.  He stated he would check into it.  I contacted Ray Noland Roofing twice in the summer of 2015 to bid/measure for gutters or gutter repaid.  Their staff visited my home both times, measured again(their have been four measurements over two years before I recieved their bid), and discussed the mold and my warranty again with their representatives.  I was advised on each visit that [redacted] would be contacting me. At no time did anyone offer to just file a claim with [redacted].  I contacted Ray Noland Roofing In April (once about falling shingles which I paid almost $400 to have repaired) before Mr. [redacted] finally came to the house.  At that time he took a picture of the roof and stated that the [redacted] representative would be coming to the house to review.  Since I never heard back from my inquiries in 2015, I contacted Ray Noland Roofing in May, approximately 5 weeks after this contact to determine next steps.  At this time I was advised to file a claim with [redacted], which is time dated.  Consequently, I lost a year in value from such claim.
Regards,
[redacted]

Dear Conciliation Department,   In response to your letter dated 5/3/2016 concerning Complaint ID: [redacted] ([redacted]):   1.  First………we @ Ray Nolan Roofing Co., Inc. have an impeccable reputation for 60 years of continuous and good service with no complaints and no lawsuits....

  2.  Second….our office has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] and given him the best of advice.   3.  The roof leaks that Mr. [redacted] references were not related to installation or material defects:             A.  There was a leak at a flashing and the damage was caused by a raccoon.  Our staff repaired at no charge.             B.  The second leak was shingle damage, again caused by a raccoon………………and we repaired at no charge.             C.  There was an unrelated leak at a skylight (the skylight itself was leaking) and we repaired it at no charge.             D.  Then……..there was wind damage that our staff repaired……..as well.   NONE of the above were due to faulty installation and all issues were resolved immediately.    When the calls about the staining on the shingles began, we were well beyond our 2 Year Contractor's Warranty.  Our staff explained to [redacted] that the Manufacturer's ([redacted]) Long Term Warranty would cover the claim.   We further explained that he must contact the [redacted] representative to open the claim and start a Claim #.  We had given [redacted] a copy of the [redacted] Warranty at the completion of the job in 2009.  He had lost it so……….we got him another copy in 2016.  Our staff even contacted the representative for [redacted].  They had correspondence on the phone and email.   [redacted] keeps speaking of some Class Action Lawsuit with [redacted].  We have explained that we do not know anything about a lawsuit and the proper procedure is to follow up with the Terms and Conditions of the Warranty with [redacted] and their representatives.  The local [redacted] representative does not wish to have any further conversations with [redacted] on the phone.  He prefers email for the documentation going forward.   The bottom of our authorized Contract dated July 12, 2009 clearly states that we provide the Owner with a 2 Year labor and material warranty at the completion of the job.  Our staff performed over-and-above the normal expectations of this Agreement.  We specifically performed each line item of the Contract during construction.  Our staff has tried to assist [redacted] in every way.   The issue is very clear…………………[redacted] must work his resolve with [redacted] and their technicians as per the Terms and Conditions of the Warranty.  Ray Nolan Roofing Co., Inc. should never have been dragged into this complaint.   If you should have any questions, please let me know.  Thank you.   [redacted], AIA, GRP (Green Roof Professional) President [redacted] Co., Inc., Architects
