Nothing in the customer's complaint is truthful other than the vacation that was planned months in advance to coincide with the Springfield School District spring break calendarI finished their floor on Thursday 3/and left on vacation 3/
On Friday 3/they called and we arranged at that time to have me come by following my return, which I did on 3/That was the only return to their home following completion as subsequent attempt to try to appease the customer has been spurnedAt no time does this process kill grassI have completed several other floors in the weeks following and continue to use the same process that has been employed for the last 10+ years utilizing the same materials and process with consistent successI have all communication in writing and have the contract stating colors to be usedNo deviation from that occurred

We do not accept their responseThe floor is not the color they promised, the texture is like sandpaper and is covered with bubblesWhen he came out to try and fix his poor job, it Made it even worseThe walls will need to be painted since he did not protect them with plastic and no matter what he says the grass did die there is about 10-ft mud pit with no grass because of his hosesI have pictures of everything and pictures do not lieIf you need to come and inspect the job he did on our floor we more than welcome you to come and see for yourselfA former customer of his contacted us through Artistic Concrete's own website ( the area were you can leave a customer review) telling us they had the exact same problems with them and had to take him to small claims court, they actually won and he is suppose to refund them but unfortunately they are still waiting because he has refused to pay themThis is what we are dealing with and are very frustrated, he promised a job well done, his website even states we will be satisfied but this is not the caseWe are very unhappy, the floor looks and feels horribleThe company should be embarrassed with their workWe need something done and need him to fulfill his dutyI do have pictures if you need themThank you

Their floor is the colors chosen BY the customer and applied to their concreteNothing was deviated from the agreed upon colors or application methods used for every surface I completeThe customer complaint stems solely from their lack of approval of how their concrete took the colors they chose
As for their yard, I put the hoses in the exact place that the customer directed me to put them and was finished with them the second of my four days at their residenceNothing was said during or after about anything pertaining to the yard, all the while they were walking their dogs around the yard in the same spot that the hoses were inI have finished several floors in the weeks since and ALL of them larger than theirs with no harm done to ACTUAL grass, not dirt and weedsThere is nothing in the water and slurry that will kill vegetation of any kind
When they asked me to see what I could do about the bubbles upon completion I agreed to return following my vacation, which I didA day or two after finishing the recoat of the surface they messaged me that the bubbles were still present and I responded that I would order yet more material and return when it came inThey then told me not to botherThat was immediately followed with they wanted a full refund
I will return to again take care of the refinish of the surface, resulting from no negligence on my part as spelled out in the agreement (which they admitted they never read in the days or so between when we contracted the work and when it was completed)

The grass that he killed is the least of our problems, the big issue at hand is the floor which is a ugly grey color, when we ordered a brown and the walls that will need to be repaintedThey need to be repainted because he failed to cover and protect them what so ever, like he said he would and pictures on his website show walls being protectedPlus the texture of the floor is now like sandpaper and bubbles since his second attempt make it rightSo you see our lack of confidence in his workWe were also informed of other previous customers who were also unsatisfied and eventually had to take him to small claims court to try to get some resolveSo we don't have any confidence or trust in him at all

I have responded to this customer and, at my expense, have re-coated his floor in the same material that has been applied by me in the same methods for 10 years on countless residential, commercial and industrial floors with no known result...

that he is describing. I don't know what the customer is doing, but after doing hundreds of basement floors and rooms converted to dog runs, I have never encountered this. I have attempted to make it right by re-sealing again but it is not a product issue.
The material is proprietary and there is no need to divulge the product name. The customer was going to wax the floors after the dogs damaged the original finish, to which I instructed him not to do as his dogs will make quick work of the surface. I then re-coated them utilizing another batch to ensure quality control was not at issue, which I've never encountered.

I do not accept Mr. [redacted]'s response. His proprietary product does not meet the standards that he promises. Obvious to that fact is that he had to come down to recoat the floor once and we have the same exact problem as he fixed once. He stated that he doesn't know what I am doing to my floor...All we are doing is WALKING on it. I believe he re-coated our floor with the same batch of his "proprietary" product which I believe must be defective. I will be more than happy to provide pictures of the condition of the floor and all the scratches that normal foot traffic is causing.I paid [redacted] for less than three days of work and feel that Mr. [redacted] should make this right. If you check your complaint records, you will find that one of Artistic Concretes other customers describes almost the same exact scenario.
I wish I had explored your website more deeply than just seeing the A+ rating that shows next to the companies name. I now realize that that rating is false because he is not accredited with the Revdex.com. I have since found several other bad reviews of Artistic Concrete and Engraving on other websites such as [redacted]'s [redacted]
I find it very disappointing that Mr. [redacted] will not divulge the name of the product that he used. I believe that information will help me determine how to sand the floor back down and what product that will be compatible to go over the top of the "proprietary" or worthless product that Artistic Concrete is using.
I will not feel this issue is resolved until Artistic Concrete refunds the [redacted] and divulges the name of his sealing product. I also hope that since this matter has been investigated and has not been resolved, that the Revdex.com will post the review of Artistic Concrete that I submitted when I filed my complaint of Mr. [redacted]'s company. I didn't realize that my review would not be posted wile the complaint was under investigation. I believe that my review might save other consumers the disappointment of dealing with Artistic Concrete and Engraving LLC.
