Review: Signed contract for 12 month period. Came in to cancel months before end date to sign cancellation. They didn't stop billing after said date. I called and they had no record stating that I must be lying about the situation. I have called 3 times waiting for a return phone call from the regional manager hoping to escalate issue to no response. I even said my friend and I cancelled the same day, they pulled up her account and she was cancelled no problem. They said that wasn't possible for me to cancel and that it is a 4 step process. After leaving the gym that day I was essentially told I was free after the next billing month and there was nothing else on my end to do. I threw away the form that thy never told me to keep because they were supposed to keep one on file. I have been ignored for a month and I am exhausted trying to resolve this issue. As a retail professional I know good customer service and I have never been so unfairly treated before. I got all of the correct dollar amounts, dates, and other facts I could to make it easier and they still haven't done anything al all for me in regards to this matter. I am disgusted at this point.Desired Settlement: Contract signed June **th 2012, billed on June **th for amount of 19.99 June-may billing cycle for 12 months charge. Over charged for months June-sept in the amount of 19.99 ( 4 months) also for the inconvenience I would like to be refunded for the prorated amount from the beginning in June from the [redacted] to the [redacted] that my membership didn't start and for the months fee that I didn't use the gym for the whole month (several) in refund for this horrible customer service and the stress I received.

Review: My wife and I have been members of Planet Fitness for 2 years, the past year of which we have been at the [redacted] location. We have used the gym without any issues up until June [redacted] 2015 at which time we were informed that certain types of exercises were prohibited. Specifically, dead lifting is not allowed. This was the first time the gym had informed us of such a rule as we, and many others, have been free to exercise in any manner for the past year. The gym representative stated that dead lifting is "intimidating" and stated, "Since PF is geared more towards first time gym-users and general fitness, deadlifting is something we have cut out."I accept this change of rules and we both decided to cancel our memberships and to take our business elsewhere. Unfortunately, we were billed on 6/*/15 for a total of $68.00 for annual fees. When we asked for a refund, they explained that we needed to cancel prior to 5/**/15. Obviously, we had not need to cancel prior to 6/*/15 because until that point, dead lifting was allowed. Their arbitrary decision to ban one of the most elementary and basic exercises AFTER the annual cancellation window seems highly suspicious and unfair. We have spoken to gym representatives at the front desk and they only stated that we need to ask for a refund from "corporate," yet they have no email address or other contact information.Desired Settlement: We would simply like our refund for the 6/*/15 to 6/*/16 year given that we cancelled our memberships on 6/*/15 and have not used the gym during this period. I would like a refund for $39 I was billed, and my wife for $29, as she was billed - both of which occurred on 6-*-15.

At this time, my complaint, ID [redacted] regarding Planet Fitness has been resolved. I contacted their corporate office in New Hampshire around the time that I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com. Either one or both things resulted in the local gym [redacted] calling me to inform me that "corporate" had authorized a full refund which I would receive in 4-6 weeks. As of this past Saturday, the refund checks came in the mail for the full amount.Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter!

Review: I purchased a pair of glasses on 8/**/2014. I was told I would receive a phone call in 5-7 days to pickup my glasses. Today, 9/**/2014, I called the company and spoke to an [redacted]. When I asked about my glasses, [redacted] attacked me and said they have been calling me for weeks. My phone records would indicate otherwise. When I asked for a refund, I was told absolutely not. Instead of admitting their wrong (or this may be a business practice -- not calling to tell product ready, hoping to get the money and the product), they attack the consumer who waited patiently for an entire month for his glasses or at most a phone call.Desired Settlement: I want my money back as I never received the product. I also want people to know to stay away from this business and the awful employee [redacted].

Anyone can say they were not called in order to cancel if they change their mind. We do call everyone once the glasses are ready. [redacted] did not give me a chance to speak he did not want to give me a chance to help him. I was willing to bring his glasses to him for his inconvenience of not receiving his phone call. I will do what the patient wants if he wants his glasses they are ready for him to pick up or we can deliver it to him. Or I will refund him his money for the glasses. I certainly do not want anyone thinking I have any I tensions of confiscating anyones eyeglasses. I have been doing this for 25 years and have not had any complaints.

We will be refunding $75.00 to [redacted] . Which is his cost of materials. $15.00 was for his co pay on the exam. He already requested a chargeback from his credit card company. We will give him back his $75.00. we can close this issue.
