I am a disabled veteran with back issues who went to Cohen's looking to replace the firm mattress I had bought from them more than a decade earlier. I told the salesman, and I quote, that "I needed a mattress that was like sleeping on a piece of plywood." Instead of showing me the regular mattress like the one I was replacing (which was fine and cost about $700) he showed me the memory foam mattresses. The floor model was brand new and hard as a rock. I told him this was exactly what I needed but he did not tell me it would soften considerably over the following months. [redacted]
Over the following 2 years, my back got substantially worse and I was at a loss to explain it. It didn't occur to me that the bed that, in my mind, was firm, was getting so soft throughout the night, that my back was being thrown out of alignment. W
KNOWING that I was lied to by the sal[redacted], I went back to Cohen's looking for some action. I got none. They sent out a tech to look at it even though I told them it was in perfect condition and that the issue was misrepresentation. The refused, flat out, to entertain the idea of doing anything about this. I[redacted]
