Review: I had gone to pickup my glasses that I had ordered. One pair was scratched the other the lens was not cut correctly. The prescription was wrong so I was asked to come back and get rechecked. Which I did. While I was taking the eye tests the Doctor asked me how do I read and I told her fine. Her comment was "[redacted]". I was insulted!!! How dare she talk to me like that. it's as if she is saying that I'm a liar.I told her this is over and I do not want anything but the prescription that I have now. The person I started working with just called me today,2 weeks after I had paid in full, telling me that the frames are on back order and it will take 3 more weeks. Then she tells me that the Doctor is the owner of this store. Since I have not taken possession of the glasses I want all my money back. All my money in cash or in a check. I do not want a gift certificate since I will not do business with that owner.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a full refund in cash, which I had paid in cash, or in a bank check.

Response:

To [redacted] or To Whom it May Concern,

Upon the dispensing of said patients two pairs of glasses a scratch/defect was noticed on the one frame. The patient was assured that we would gladly order in a new frame due to the fact it was the last one of the style in the office. When calling the manufacturer we were informed that the particular frame was on back order for three to four weeks. When the salesperson contacted the patient making him aware of the time limit for the frame he purchased she told him that we would have no problem cutting him lenses to match another frame until the one he wanted became available. When the patient asked to come in and see the doctor for a reexamination he was booked an appointment with **. [redacted], the owner, he had seen another employed optometrist for the initial eye exam. Unfortunately on the day of the recheck appointment the patient and the doctor had a debatable conversation about her recommended prescription for him and what he was comfortable with. After the patient felt offended the office tried multiple ways to resolve the issue in his best interest. The patient proceeded to ask for a refund of his sendees which totaled $299.00 in cash. **. [redacted] gladly obliged with apologies that his experience was unpleasant with our facility. We wished him all the luck with his future optical needs.

Thank you,

Review: I purchased eyeglasses with Cohen's Optical after a thorough exam by their Optician in October 2013, the Optician neglected to write the perscription with a stigmatism. I found this out when I went to my Opthalmolgist in April 2014 to see if I had a medical problem that was causing my sight to dimenish. My Doctor said I did not have any changes since my last visit in October 2013. I then went to my original Optometrist to see what the problem was and he told me that the glasses I had did not include the perscription for the stigmatism which is very important and it was in the last pair of glasses I had given to Cohen's Optician to check.

When I took this information to the Store, the Customer Service Rep said that there was no perscription written for a stigmatism. After a re-examination by the Optician, she said she did not think that the stigmatism would make a difference. She requested that I buy vitamins and put hot compresses on my eyes to help the stigmatism condition....which I do not believe I paid over $800 for these glasses and when the Customer Service Rep said to correct the problem I would have to pay another $435 I felt this was Outrageous!!! The Company is obviously not accepting responsibility for their PERSCRIOTION ERROR!Desired Settlement: want a replacement
