This particular machine has a machine printed decal on the front right above the door stating “If machine does not start, be sure door... handle is firmly closed. Do not slam door”. Decal has been on machine for quite some time. The reason for this is over time many people have slammed the door shut instead of just inserting the door mechanism into the opening. As a result, things don't line up as they did from the factory and it may be necessary to shut the door handle more firmly which will start the machine. Many attempts to fix this has not held as it continually gets abused.When we have a machine out of order, we generally take the door off and put tape over the coin slot in hopes that people will see that it is not in service.The refund message does not mention anything about not leaving a phone number. The refund signs in the laundry state “Do not leave phone number” It does not say anything about not receiving a return phone call if you do. All machines that we receive a refund request for are tested the very next day, and as the sign and voice message state, "if it does not work, a refund will be sent to you.” If machine does work, we do not refund money This is our refund policy clearly stated in laundry.This is an unattended laundromat and has been for over 40 years.Thank you,Andrew & Karen F*, Andy’s Coin Laundries LLC, [redacted] *** [redacted] ***

I appreciate receiving a response as a result of my complaint.  I am not pleased with the result.  It's obvious this company does not regard customer service complaints.  The business, in my opinion, is all about collecting money.  The manner of doing business without any attendant on duty speaks to condition of the business.  The business isn't the cleanest (ie: restroom smells of urine) and overall maintenance is lacking.  It's obvious they don't care about their customers.  Perhaps, the signage should include a statement similar to the response in my complaint reply.  I will never use this business again and share without others about not doing so. I'm not a petty individual but $5 is important to a senior on a fixed income. You expect decent service for money spent at any business attended or unattended.
