This is in reference to : Coinless Laundry, [redacted], Phoenix, AZ 85053

STAY AWAY from this laundromat. They are SCAM ARTISTS and take advantage of poor people in the Phoenix area. You have to pay more than it costs to do the laundry and they will not give you your change back if you have money left over.

Here's how they SCAM you: One load of laundry and one load in the dryer should cost $2.09. However, you must first purchase a "coinless card" for 50 cents and load money onto the card. But you can only put in whole dollar amounts on the card using cash bills (no debit cards, no coins). Therefore, if you want to do one load of laundry that should cost $2.09, you have to put in $3.00, leaving you with an overbalance of $0.91 (or $0.41 if you just got their "card"). So, no matter how many loads of laundry you do, this company will walk away with your change. After hundreds of unsuspecting customers, this company has, and still is scamming us out of our change, and keeping the thousands of dollars in change that they owe us. BEWARE!

I went to this Coinless Laundry yesterday for the first time and I still have a balance of 33 cents left on my "card." If the average customer had 33 cents left on their card today, and there were approximately 100 customers today, this laundromat made an additional $33.00 from the change they owed their customers. In a month (with an average of 100 customers a day) this company would make an additional $990 in change owed to customers....$11,880 in a year, all money they ethically owe their customers in unused fees to which they owe us in change.

Another customer put $10 on his card, but only used a few of those dollars to do his laundry. When each of us asked for our remaining balances, we were told that they don't give change. So, this Coinless Laundry facility made an extra 5 dollars and a few cents off of us unsuspecting customers, money that was essentially stolen from us. If this is happening to all of their customers, they are making thousands of dollars for services that were never rendered. This is proof that this company is running a scam.
