Coke's Auto Reviews (1)

Review: Complaint against: Coke's Auto Repair. [redacted],Pa [redacted] took my [redacted] in for a gas leak and my car was finally returned to me over 2 months later and would not start. The problems were many, as along with not starting their were 2 lights on my dash. The first one was the ENGINE light and the second was the seatbelt/airbag light. Also, the gas leak was not properly repaired and returned. When I returned to Coke's because the car would not start, Coke's tried several things to repair, including putting in a new starter, but that still did not solve the problem. Coke's could not get the starter to work so they ran the wire directly from the starter to the ignition. This started the car momentarily but caused the ENGINE light and airbag light to come on. [redacted], the owner of Coke's Auto, could not fix this problem of the lights. He told me and I quote, "you need to take your car to the dealer as I can't do it all". The car never had a starting problem until after it was initially returned by Coke's. Also, what kind of garage can't even install a starter properly? I have serious doubts the car actually needed a starter. How can I trust his other repairs?I took the car to [redacted] and they found the problem to be the incorrect wiring of the starter directly to the ignition. Coke's ran the wire thru the airbag sensor at the base of the steering wheel causing that light to come on. The wiring also shorted out the starter sensor causing the engine light to come. It cost me $459.00 for these repairs at [redacted]. This is on top of the $2000+ that I already paid to Coke's for repairs. Also, when I asked [redacted]'s mechanics if they did a full tuneup that I was charged for, they both said NO. This guy can't be trusted. When I returned to Coke's for reimbursement of the $459.00 that his faulty repairs caused, he told me that he was firing his mechanic that worked on my car and offered me $114.00. This clearly confirms his quilt but I would like all my money returned.Desired Settlement: At the very least, I would like Coke's Auto to return the $459.00 that I spent at [redacted] to have my car properly repaired due to the faulty wiring created by installing a starter that I do not believe I needed.
