Cola's Tax Service

Review: Ms. [redacted] was hired by my husband and I to prepare our taxes. For several years, I've heard of the problems that Mr. [redacted] was having with her; however, I recently experienced them first-hand. Over the past few months, we've learned that taxes were not filed, as stated by Ms. [redacted] Even afterwards, she said she had proof that same were filed, but never produced adequate proof. Between April 11, 2014 and July 9, 2014, we've had over 149 text message exchanges and numerous emails and calls, between Ms. [redacted], in an attempt to get our tax documents and were met with several excuses. Excuses ranging from a power outage, being hospitalized, having to have her internet provider re-wire her system, office meetings, dealing with her father's issues, fax machine issues, etc..., you name it, we've probably heard it. Trying to do business with Ms. [redacted] is EXTREMELY frustrating. Often times, she called with a boat load of talk that didn't answer any question or deliver what we were looking for. In addition to the above, another travesty which we learned of is that Ms. [redacted] placed SOMEONE's bank routing number and account number on our tax documents for a direct deposit. That has gone unexplained by Ms. [redacted] and we're going to have to have the IRS research same. From my research, I see that this didn't happen once, but twice.Although Ms. [redacted] may have good intentions, her work ethic and delivery skills, leaves a lot to be desired. With the nature of tax preparation being so tedious and important, this isn't a job for someone who is hap-hazard in her approach to resolving her clients' issues. We have finally received our tax documents, but not without much heartache and disappointment in the service rendered by Ms. [redacted] and Cola's Tax Service. Since Ms. [redacted] is not a licensed CPA she is not bound by the fiduciary duty that CPA's have to their clients, nor the laws and rules that govern CPAs.Desired Settlement: This is for others who may be researching a taxpreparer. I would hate for something to experience the level of non-service we've experienced from Ms. [redacted] and Cola's Tax Service.

The level of professionalism is horrible. Things were not properly handled. Tax problems from pervious years were never corrected . Will not send proof of tax information that was filed warning do not let this person handle your tax issues. Would not recommend. There is always an excuse why the information can not be sent.
