Coldwater Creek Custom Cabinets

Terrible company , Ordered cabinets for my home through Coldwater Creek and job was never finished and he gave me the same BS about his daughter now I am taking him to court to recover my funds. They need to be out of business.

Review: First Payment Made April 30, 2015 for $10,600.00. Second payment of $5,000.00 made on Aug. 26, 2015. Start date was July 1, 2015 did not start job until August 11, 2015 and was to be finished within 3 WEEKS. still not complete as of today April 12, 2016! Job of doing master bath continued for months due to poor work and many items had to be re-done 2 to 4 times! Last time [redacted], the owner, was fixing problems was January 25, 2016. Last time I heard from [redacted] was Feb. 2, 2016. Items that still need resolved: ([redacted] was emailed a copy of this on Jan. 28, 2016):

1. Laundry room wall not dry walled properly.

2. Poor drywall (skim coat) finish

a. Around Light Switch

b. Vanity area corner

c. Wall by sink

d. Area by sink light.

3. Terestone crack around glass shower doors - this was done by [redacted]'s subcontractor

4. Color difference in Terestone - [redacted] did not order enough for job, had to order 2 extra pieces and his carpenter put them up even though the color was a lot darker than the original. Very Noticeable!

5. Crack on board in cupboard and the stain color does not match

6. [redacted]s plumber used surplus Pex and it produced 2 leaks (these were fixed).Was to use Blue and Red color Pex - this was not done.

7. Faucet at sink not evenly spaced

8. I had to replace the stopper in the tub - the one the plumber put in did not last a month.

*I paid [redacted] $15,600.00. Plus $1,670.00 for Tub, $1,700.00 for Glass shower walls, $133.69 for misc. items. [redacted] was to purchase everything, I just found items less expensive. (total paid $19,103.69) This was to be a 3 week job, still not complete ONE YEAR LATER since first check was written! (Total work time 6 Months).Desired Settlement: To completely fix all the problems with the bathroom the following would have to be done:

1. The Glass company would have to take down the glass shower walls and pull off the white Terestone that they cracked and purchase new Terestone and replace it.

2. Refinish all the rough patches on walls and would have to replace/fix the drywall where the above Terestone was replaced.

3. Put in the correct color Pex - using a different plumber - did not like the plumber [redacted] hired.

4. Fix the laundry room wall, closet doors, and faucet spacing.

5. Replace the Terestone that does not match!

6. Re-paint everything!

Being the above would take too long, and I don't know if I really want Coldwater Creek and their subcontractors back, I would prefer a refund of at least $3,500.00 - $5,000.00!

Review: I recently renovated the home I am presently living in. I spent the past 3 years renovated it. Last August, I did much research looking for kitchen cabinets. I finally came across, Coldwater Creek Custom Cabinets located in Tarrs, PA. I made several trips to their showroom and hand picked the kitchen cabinets that I wanted for my kitchen. [redacted] designed my kitchen for me and sent it via email for review on August 8, 2013 @ 5:29 pm. In the meantime, I was awaiting other designs and bids. On August 22, 2013, I decided to go with Coldwater Creek Custom Cabinets. I was instructed that these cabinets were made in the USA and were solid wood construction. I also, ordered my hardware for the doors as well as this time. The total cost of the kitchen was $8,406.58. I paid $5,050.00 on it at that time to get the cabinets ordered. I had a remaining balance of $3,356.58. I chose not to have them install the cabinets because I had a private contractor at this time that would be less expensive. In the meantime, I was having my house plastered. Approximately, a 5-6 weeks after my first payment that I placed on my order, I followed up via phone call and in person to see where my cabinets were at. Finally, after beating around the bush, I was informed that my cabinets were never ordered. The reason why my cabinets were never ordered was personal reasons according to the staff. When the owner, [redacted] finally called me he informed me that his daughter had a drug problem (she was working at the shop at the time as a kitchen designer and apparently messed a lot of peoples orders up)and that he was trying to sort things out with her and his grand-daughter. I told him I took a loan out and need my cabinets ordered that I paid for. Keep in mind that I had borrowed from the bank and had a grace period to have this work completed in. Therefore, he ordered my cabinets after I complained. My cabinets came in around Thanksgiving time. Due to the miss-happening event... to be continued.Desired Settlement: I ordered and paid for $8,406.58 custom kitchen cabinetry. Recently, the end of August 2014 beginning of September 2014 I noticed that the cabinet hardware on my pull out trash can was not working properly; it would not self-close. I called and asked about this and asked for the owner, [redacted] to return my call related to my concern to resolve this situation. I must have called at least 20 + times from then to yesterday October 23,2014. I just want my cabinets in working order.
