Blue's Fence response to case ID *** In the spring, summer and fall most construction companies are booked pretty far out with Blue's Fence being no exceptionAt the time the homeowner called we were booked weeks out. The customer did not call us to say they were selling
their home and would need some fence work done until after the sale of the home was in the works and they had given the buyer inaccurate informationWe do not have the word "Guarantee or Guaranteed" on any advertisements, ads or otherwiseWe warranty our WORKMANSHIP for the life of the fenceWhen the homeowner called they expected the fence to be repaired ASAP and indicated the fence needed a few posts replaced and some of the fence adjusted. They did not tell us the fence had sustained years of storm damage and needed several days of work to put the fence back in it's original stateOur company is years old this year with us being second owners of the last There is a reason we have not had Revdex.com complaints as our customer service is excellentWithout being told the actual state of the fence out of courtesy we indeed told the customer we would do the few repairs without chargeWe went by their description and had not seen the fence at that timeThe homeowner was told we were booked up and we would get there as soon as we couldWe do not know what the buyer of the home was promised but indeed the homeowners kept calling about the fenceWe assured them we would get there as soon as we possibly couldAt no time were they told we "did not have time for them"They were told once again that we were booked and would be there as soon as we could and it was not like an emergency where a child or animal could get out of the fenceAfter coming back from Memorial weekend the home owner left a very, very rude message on our answering machine90% of the friction caused in your everyday life is caused by the tone of your voiceIt is not what you say it's how you say itThe "gentleman" JR that returned the call was frustrated at that point and upset about coming into the office first thing to such a rude messageAt that time he did indeed tell them he was the only one here at the time and was wearing a lot of hatsHis tone when returning the call was that of frustration, not rudenessWe sent our installers out with the information that they would "tune up the fence" by replacing a "couple" of posts and adjusting the gateWhen they arrived someone had already messed with the gate as there was different hardware than we have ever usedThe guys worked on the fence and did one side and at that point they called the General Operations Manager and conveyed the time and attention the fence was going to needWe went as a courtesy expecting a few small repairs, not spending several days thereThe home owners were told that it was "an act of God" and we did the one side as a favorThey were told it was a billable job in which their response was we should have told them that to begin with and they would have paidNext, we received the complaint from the Revdex.comThe homeowner states in the complaint that we are weeks out from their original callWe told them in the beginning we were booked weeks outI'm sure their buyer was upset with them and expecting the fence to be repaired before the sale was final as they were probably misinformed before we were ever contacted to begin withWe did go, repaired one entire side for freeAt this point we feel the home owner mislead us and if they want the other sides repaired it will be billableRegards, Connie B***
