All I can say is Karma. I would like to bring to your attention: Ken Cole of Cole Construction Died In April 2018.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Cole Construction regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Although he has said on the telephone that he would be coming to finish the job, he has not returned. The project is as uncompleted as it was last year this time.

One Star Is Way To High. Cole Construction Has Moved From 60 Golden Hill Road, Newburgh, NY 12550
This review is about
Ken and Kyle Cole Of Cole Construction
9 Greenshire Way, Walden NY 12586 845-787-5156

I shall put this review in a Nut Shell

From Our Deposit To Ken and Kyle Cole Of Cole Construction We Have Paid Them $69,750.00.

November 24, 2016 When The Town Came To Inspect The Structure, We Were Told That Ken Cole Lost His License. We Failed The Structural Inspection On All Accounts.

The New Foundation Leeks, He Started The New Foundation To High and Now We Will Not Have 8 Foot Ceilings. Cole Construction Put Down The Incorrect Sub Floor That Had To Be Torn Up and Redone. He Matched The New Sub Floor With The Existing Floors So The Floors Won't Match When Finished, Because He Started To High. They Installed The Sliding Glass Doors Cockeyed So You Need To Be Superman To Open The Door. That Too Had To Be Taken Out and Reinstalled.

Cole Construction Took Down Our Front Porch. That Too Is Unfinished and Has To Be Torn Down, Because It Was Done Incorrectly.

We Paid Them For 14 Windows and Only Have 4.

They Attached The New Roof To The Old Roof Incorrectly and The North Side Of The Roof Must Be Torn Down and Redone.

They Took Off All The Old Siding, Gutter and Leaders and Have Left Our Home Exposed To The Elements.

We Have Had To Hire Other Contractors To Redo 90% Of The Work. We Can Not Redo The Foundation Because We Would Have To Tear Everything Down To Start Over.

We Have Paid For Siding, Sheetrock, Roofing and Insulation Plus 10 Other Windows. There Are No Materials Here and We Have to Purchase It All Again

Ken Cole Stated He Has A Crew. The Crew Consisted Of His Son Kyle Cole and Another Person. Once The End Of August Came, Unknown To Us, Kyle Cole Went Back To School. Then There Was One Who Took Off Because Ken Cole Spent Our Money And Could No Afford To Hire Anyone To Work With Him.

To Sum This All Up. DO NOT HIRE COLE CONSTRUCTION. This Tag Team Stinks! RUN! RUN! RUN!

Thank You For Reading This Review.

Review: We signed a contract with Cole Construction on June **, 2015 to remove our existing wooden deck and replace it with a new wooden deck. The contract, written by owner Ken Cole, explicitly states "All workmanship has a five year guarantee. All lumber a twenty five year guarantee." However, owner Ken C[redacted] refuses to visit home to go over the numerous problems with the work done, thus failing to uphold the warranty he provided.

Before work even began, the start date was pushed back numerous times. When work finally began, owner's 20 year old son and 19 year old friend showed up, unsupervised, to begin work. On many days, they showed up after 9AM, often in the late morning. Owner never supervised any of the actual removal of old deck or building of new deck, and was only present on days to collect payment.

Since deck was completed at 9:30 PM on July [redacted], we were unable to go over every detail of the deck with owner. After the holiday, we discovered that there were numerous problems with the build quality. First, the handrails were misaligned and have large gaps between them, which would not be present if they were mitered correctly. Next, 3 out of 8 steps were splintered and cracked. Numerous floorboards are split, have 3-4 holes in each due to mistakes when trying to screw them down, and have inconsistent spacing between each floorboard. The deck gate sagged and would not close correctly. The spindles were missing approximately 19 screws, as many had 2 screw holes on the bottom with only 1 screw inserted.

After calling owner to discuss these issues , we received no return call for approximately 1 week, the week of July [redacted]. When owner finally called back, he stated he was in the hospital for a week, but will send his son to make the necessary repairs. When son arrived on Saturday, July [redacted], he used wood putty to try and fill in the gaps in the handrails, which was not an acceptable or appropriate fix. Instead of installing a bracket to correctly align the gate, he shaved down the edge where it meets the post.

When we called owner Ken C[redacted] the next day to express our displeasure over these "quick fix" bandaid repairs, he replied with an attitude and stated he would personally visit to inspect the deck around July [redacted]. Owner Ken C[redacted] never showed up, called, and has not contacted us since.

Throughout the entire process, owner Ken C[redacted], his son, and son's friend were entirely unprofessional and extremely slow to respond to phone calls. Owner never stated he would leave two minors to remove and build new deck entirely unsupervised by the company's owner. To this day, owner refuses to honor the warranty provided in the contract he wrote and signed, and we are stuck with a deck that has numerous problems due to unsupervised work of two kids.Desired Settlement: We would like Cole Construction to properly repair all build issues with the deck. Alternatively, we would like the amount it would cost to have another independent, licensed contractor make all necessary repairs.

Review: Cole Construction was hired to rebuild a pool roof and enclosure. Contract stated that work would be done "continuously" and that the project would be completed around October 2014. Cost of construction was $35,000, to be paid in increments as various phases of the project were done. As of today, project has not been completed although more than $31,000 has been paid. Contractor is not returning phone calls and has been non-communicative. A byproduct of the company's haphazard and incomplete workmanship is that they punctured a hole in our kitchen wall, and when it rains, water seeps in. Because of this water seepage, our wooden kitchen floor is now warped.Desired Settlement: We want the pool enclosure completed as stated in the contract.

We want floor in the den completed as stated in the contract.

We want all construction-related debris removed from our backyard.

We want the damage to our kitchen wall and kitchen floor repaired.

Ken Cole is not coming back, because he took your money. Just as he took our money and left us in a big mess. We had to re-purchase everything we paid him more than half for. What it cost us to finish our project, we could have built a second floor plus a bathroom. Ken and Kyle Cole of Cole Construction From 60 Golden Hill Road, Newburgh, NY 12550
who moved to 9 Greenshire Way, Walden NY 12586 845-787-5156 So that we know we are talking about the same person.

Review: We hired [redacted] in Aug 2014 to replace all 37 windows (incl. transoms, half-rounds, and slider). We paid him almost the full contract total in installments from Oct 2014 to present (June 2015). We only received 18 out of the 37 window units. They are installed but none of the finishing work has been done, or was only partially done, with poor workmanship. House has been a construction site since Oct 2014 to present. Most windows he installed weren't the correct size, and the rough opening had to be adjusted. The drywall has not been properly repaired before the window moldings were applied. There are gaps between molding and wall. The outside trim has been completely removed, and only partially repaired with a different material (wood instead of vinyl), which he never mentioned he would do. The outside trim in present state is unacceptable, and we encouraged the contractor to show us one finished trim so we could decide if we liked the new version. Has not done this to date. Siding on the house has been removed, and disturbed/damaged and has not been repaired. Shows up only sporatically with big gaps of time in between. Promises to show up and doesn't without calling. Has absolutely no work plan, works completely randomly. Every window he started is in different phases of disrepair. We paid all installments for a total of over $36.000 and have not a single window finished. There has been a wrong quality slider with a boarded up transom area in our living room for entire winter to-date. Tried to reach him repeatedly by phone to resolve. Wanted to meet with him in person to explain that this cannot go on like that, and that we would like our money back.We are in contract with a new contractor that will provide detailed accont of the repairs he has to perform to correct/finish what [redacted] has done. Upon inspection of our house, pointed out areas of unlawful/unsafe labor by [redacted].Desired Settlement: Reimburse us all moneys paid, less the cost of the windows he installed (per supplier invoices he supplies) plus determined cost of repairs to correct/finish his workAmount we paid to-date: $36,000less cost of windows he installed: $10,000 (estimated)plus cost to repair his work: $20,000 (estimated)Total claim $46,000
