Review: The transmission in my 2005 [redacted] car went out on Sat. Jan. 11 2014. I barrowed a friends car untill I could make arrangements to get my car to a garage for repairs. Because On Mon. the 13 after lunch [redacted] picked the car up in the town of Wiemar, and took it to his garage to verify it was indeed the transmission. He and his partner [redacted] gave me an estimate of $3000.00 for a new transmission installed. At that time I paid them $2,274.75. The next morning (Tue 14) I returned to the garage to get something from the glove box to learn they had parked the car, locked it and lost the key and door remote. TO THIS DAY THEY STILL HAVE NOT FOUND THEM. After some time and ordeal they replaced the key and it works, but as yet do not have a door remote that is programed to work. They sent to [redacted]. and got a replacement, but can't find anyone with knowledge in that field without going to a professional that does that kind of wok. [redacted] opened car door and laid the remote (in package) on the seat.

Not the only problem. When transmission work was completed on Jan. 24 and I came to pick the car up and paid them another $936.15 to complete cost of work, I saw that the front bumper was scratched across the entire front of it, with a hole clear through on the right front of it; It was not like that when it went into their shop, but they denyed doing it.

I took the car to [redacted] In Auburn ([redacted]) for repair. I paid out of pocket $500.00 for ins. deductible. Also barrowed a Friends car rather than stick in. co. for car rental, which would of totaled around $90.00.Desired Settlement: I am asking for help in correcting such business behavior. I feal Colfax Smog & Auto Repair owes me for the expenses encured do to their mistakes
