As stated in the email that was provided, an individual intake was a requirement of the groupWhile it was not explicitly stated in said email, all intakes in private practice are served to make sure that we can best meet the client's needs and that we are the right fit for the clientIn this case, we are not a high enough level of care for the client and thus he was not able to start our group unless other treatment was sought firstWe understand his disappointment and frustration that he had to do an intake in order to join the group and was then not able to join but this is because it is not clinically appropriate at this timeHe is welcome to join in the future when necessary steps are taken first
