Collect-A-Bid

I let [redacted], owner of "Collect-A-Bid" auctions hold an auction for selling several items of mine at our farm. The auction went off without a hitch until it was time for him to pay me my proceeds. He collected all of the money and I had to hunt him down and drive over 100 miles to locate him on his "real" job in which he gave me a bad check for $4395.06 of the 5049.64 that he owed me. The bank reluctently paided the money out, knowing that he was short in the account by a few dollars. He has never denied owing me the money, he just claims that he used it for his bills and would pay me back. In the past 2 months, he has made several promises to send money but to date I have recieved 1 money order in the amount of 50.00. He still owes me $600.00 and now has stopped returning my calls. I would not recommend this auction service to anyone unless you are prepared to "give" your items away because you may or may not get paid for them.
