Review: After receiving a stipulated dismissal in the st. Croix county court system, I was to provide $200 per month payments to Dobberstein Law firm LLC for a debt that was more than seven years old, which is outside the wi sol to begin with, after making 4 payments I pulled my credit report and found that collection associates ltd is reporting the debt not alco capital group who legally owns the debt.

I talked with attorney [redacted] at dobberstein law firm and he stated that they do not report to the credit agencies?? This was the reason I agreed to the stipulated dismissal in december of 2013, the debt had fallen off my credit report and Dobberstein law firm stated they do not report to the credit agencies.Desired Settlement: Please remove the collection account from my credit report as agreed to by attny [redacted] in december 2013 "we do not report to credit agencies "

You are clearly breaking the law and effecting peoples lives more than you can imagine. I will be seeking legal action if this debt is not removed and will collect $1,000 plus all fees for your deceptive collection practices.

Response:

Our agency received an account for Mr. [redacted] from our client, ALCO Capital Group, LLC, in December of 2012. We began working the account, and reported it to the credit bureaus in February of 2013. We were never able to contact Mr. [redacted], nor did he respond to any of our attempts to reach him. In June of 2013, our client authorized us to forward the account for legal action.

Our forwarding firm sued Mr. [redacted] in August of 2013, and in December of 2013 they agreed to a stipulation whereby Mr. [redacted] was to make payments of $200/month. The forwarding law firm does not report to the credit bureau because the account had already been reported by our agency. Each month, as we are notified of the payments by the law firm, we report those payments to the credit bureaus. Attorney [redacted] never agreed to have the account removed from Mr. [redacted]’s credit report.

Nevertheless, I went ahead and had this account removed from Mr. [redacted]’s credit report. It can take up to 60-90 days for the removal to take effect.
