Review: I Took my vehicle to College Park Auto on 11/27 for repairs of my ABS-AWD light on revving of the motor, they quoted me over a thousand dollars to repair that as well as a oil leak and tune up. I agreed to the repairs. they called me and told me that the car was fully repaired two days later. after I pay for it they then tell me that the car AWD-ABS lights are still on and they couldn't figure out what the problem was. That I would have to take my vehicle to the dealer to get it looked at so that they can diagnose the problem, and bring it back to College park auto so that they could fix it for a cheaper price. I took it to the dealer where they fixed the light issue and told me that my car is leaking oil very badly from the location that College park auto said that they repaired. when I took my car back to them today (12-27) the cashier was very loud and rude and told me that I don't know anything about cars and that they repaired the problems that they told me that I had with the car. Also I haven't driven the car in the month since I had it initially repaired on 11-27 because of the issue with the ABS-AWD LIGHTS made it undriveable.Desired Settlement: fix the oil leaks that I paid them to repair.

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am sorry that you need to be involved in this matter. The original work order, which I have provided with this letter, can help you determine the invalidity of **. [redacted]’s statement.

The customer’s truck was towed to my shop. He stated that, “The engine is idling...surging up and down.” I was curious why he had to get the vehicle towed to my shop if the engine idle was only surging up and down. We performed a fault trace test. We found out that the electrical throttle body wiring was damaged, causing a bad contact. We also discovered that a lot of oil was leaking from the valve cover gaskets. The spark plug and spark plug boots were soaked with oil. This is the reason why we had to replace those parts.

Please understand that when fixing an oil leak, we are required to fix the leak from the top first, in order to see any other leaking parts. We spent time cleaning all oil messes. In my note for recommended repairs on the initial work order I stated, “Oil leaks on alternator.”

We sent the customer to see the dealer because he had a problem of drivability, intermittently. He DID NOT mention that when he dropped the vehicle off. I had to discover this problem myself when I performed a final test drive. The leak that he has now is stated on the SECOND work order...basically proving that his truck had more than one problem to fix.

We attempted to work things out with the customer by giving him a discount on the second oil leak repair, but he insisted that the work be performed for free. What he spent his money on is the repairs that his truck initially needed, NOT the subsequent work needed to fix the leaking.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####

Thank you for understanding.
