***DOCUMENT ATTACHED***This letter is in response to Complaint ID: ***October 17, 2017Ms*** stated the carpet in her home was replaced due to fleas however, that is not correct Ms***’s carpet was replaced upon move out due to Pet Damage as listed on her move out inspection
report It was also noted that her home had fleas and additional pest control treatment was needed to remove the fleas which Ms*** was not charged forRespectfully, I can see the confusion as to why she thought the carpet was replaced due to fleas, but the Pet Damages were due to urine in the home which needed carpet and padding replacement and also a pet seal Original carpet replacement date was 8/30/which means the carpet was months old and Ms*** is responsible for 90% of the cost The estimate given for the home was $leaving Ms*** responsible for $ However, total cost for replacement was $but we will not be billing Ms*** for the differenceI have attached a copy of the invoice for review Ms*** is accurate that she received a 3-day pay or vacate showing her total rent due at that time was $because Ms*** had a credit on her account from a previous month at the time the notice was served This shows as a business we only ask what is due from our customersMs*** was served due to failure of rent payment and was given days to pay for the home or vacate Ms*** chose to vacate the home and now she is trying to get out of her obligation to College Pointe Apartments

I am rejecting this response because:
On my move out paperwork, the apartments clearly state that they replaced the carpet due to pet damage and a flea infestation which is all completely falseI am not trying to get out of paying for new carpet, I am really just not trying to pay for something that is a allegation and also is something I did not do or is also not trueMy mother and friends have moved out of these apartments recently as well and they jotted down the same exact issue with her apartment as they did mine, which seems a bit oddMy dog has/had never peed in my apartment, nor did she have fleasI was not given a credit for overpayment, making my rent $like College Pointe Apartments is statingCollege Pointe Apartments had been overcharging me since I signed my lease and are now trying to get away with that and justify overcharging me for months just so they do not get in trouble
