Review: I signed an agreement with College Pro Painters through a franchisee in [redacted] on April 27th, 2014 and gave them a down payment deposit of $405.00. The work was scheduled for Mid July. In early August, I called cause I had not heard from them. I was told they would do the job starting in two weeks. On August 26th I still had not heard, so I called again. [redacted] told me my project had been transferred to a different franchisee by the name of [redacted] within a few days and said he work would begin the next week. Again, I heard nothing. On September 15th I called the call center and was given [redacted] phone number the general manger. I told him I was cancelling my contract and that I wanted my deposit returned for breach of contract and non performance on the part of College Pro Painters. He told me the payment would have to come from [redacted] and that he would contact him. On October 6th, I called [redacted] again at 10:00 a.m. because I had not received my refund. Mr. [redacted] told me he would get a hold of [redacted] and I would here back from him by 5:00 p.m. that day. I did not hear from him. I called again on October 8th at 7:30 p.m. and got an answering machine. I left a message stating I was filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I would like the Revdex.com to help me obtain my refund. College Pro Painters advertises on their literature that they are a member with an A+ rating. It should be a F- in my opinion.

Review: We contracted with the local franchisee for exterior painting and window washing - and paid 15% deposit. They deposited our earnest check twice (electronically and physically) and never returned overpayment - they were contacted several times and said they would fix the problem but never didI contacted them about a month after the initial contract start date to find out when they were going to start - they did give me a start date but claimed to be running behind because they lost their paint crew and only 2 were still working. So we were never contacted/alerted to substantial changes in the contract time or their ability to complete the job safely. Painting would have required using a 40ft ladder which can be difficult to manipulate with only 2 paintersI kept asking about when they would order the paint and I finally learned that their plan was to tint paint on a gallon-by-gallon basis; which was not the original understanding and is not a professional house-painting practice.I finally had to cancel the contract when it was apparent that they couldn't do the job safely or professionally.Desired Settlement: I would like both my deposit returned and the extra deposit (which was essentially stolen) also returned.Their capabilities to perform the job in a safe, timely, and professional manner were completely misrepresented.

Review: A section of my home was painted in October of 2013 by College Pro Painters. The individual informed me that they would scrape, prime and paint this section of the house. In May (7 months later) I noticed the paint was already peeling and cracking. I contacted College Pro Painters (###-###-####) to file a complaint in hopes to have e crew repair and repaint this area in accordance with their 2 year warranty. The person I spoke with informed me that she would file a warranty complaint and someone would get back to me with 1 - 2 weeks. By June I still did not hear anything, I called again June 9th @1030am and spoke with Courtney. I explained the problem and that I did not receive and service. She apologized and informed me she would send my complaint directly to the warranty department and the general manager of the local College Pro dealer. She promised it I would get a response in 1 week. By June 24 (2 weeks later) I still heard nothing. I called College Pro again and spoke with [redacted] @1206pm. [redacted] apologized and did not understand why Courtney did nothing with my complain since he did not find anything on file that I even called. [redacted] promised me that he would take care of this and I would hear back from someone in 1 week. It is June 7th and I have not heard anything.Desired Settlement: I would like College Pro to come out and scrape, prime and paint the entire section of the house that was painted less than a year ago. I want this completed as soon as possible...this is a small job and can be completed in minimal time. There is no reason this can't be done as promised by their warranty.

Response:

First off – College Pro would like you to know that we take customer service and satisfaction very seriously and we stand behind our warranty!

Regarding a resolution - prior to receiving your letter, College Pro had already assigned a crew to do the fix-up and warranty work at the [redacted] residence ([redacted]) and that work should either already be completed or scheduled for this week or next week. College Pro is following through on the customer’s request to scrape loose/peeling paint, re-prime as needed (any bare wood) and applying a new top-coat as needed.

Review: Contracted for work to be done on the exterior of my home. Work on contract was suppose to be finished by June 28 with some variance for weather. Three weeks after June 28th with no response or calls from the person that signed the contract I contacted CollegePro customer service. They then told me they would contact the person that made the contract with me and took a deposit for the work. After they were able to contact this person he finally called back. He stated that he would be there the following day to begin the work. He never showed and two weeks later I called which he never answered. I then sent a text message demanding he either start the following Monday or return my deposit. He wouldn't communicate via phone call and would only text message, which he replied saying that he would start that Sunday. He never showed so then I contacted CollegePros again and they said they would place a call to his supervisor. He then texted back agreeing to start that Sunday with the cleaning of the exterior siding which was stated in the contract. He did show up that Sunday with a power washer and started to wash the house. Either not having enough training or just his lack of caring for others property he power washed my house incorrectly with too high of a water pressure and damaged three boards on the exterior. I noticed the damage and expected some kind of explanation from him, which there was none. The next day he showed up for maybe three hours and did some scraping of the house which was stated in the contract and was suppose to be a "Full Scrape of the exterior" and left. The next day after knocking on the door and trying to get my girlfriend to give him the okay to start painting, telling her the house wasn't able to be scarped fully and they were just going to paint over it. She told him he would have to contact me which he never did and left prior to me coming home. I then decided to confront him about the damage he neglected to explain on my house. Again he would not answer and I had to text him that the house was to be fully scraped as written in the contract and the damage he did was to be fixed at his cost by a licensed contractor. He then texted back saying that he was "Going" to mention that to me and that my house was rotted and that's just what happens. At this point I told him a had already contacted a contractor who had told me this was caused by direct actions of this person neglect. I then told him that he was no longer welcome at my house and I wanted my deposit returned and the damage fixed at his or the company's expense. A day went by with no response so I decided to contact the CollegePro customer service once again. Over a week period I called four times and each time they gave a run around that a supervisor was going to call me. The third time a demanded an address for the company which they failed to give me even after repeated times that I asked. I was then told on a Monday morning that a General Manager for my region would be in contact with me that day or early Tuesday. They never called or provided with an address to the company to send legal filings to them. I was contacted by the person that signed the contract with me who finally admitted it was his fault that the house was damaged and that he wanted to let me let him provide a person to fix it. I responded through text again since he won't answer that it needed to be a local licensed contractor and that I wanted my deposit back. That was three days ago and still no deposit back, fixed house, or any contact from his company or anyone above him.Desired Settlement: I would like a supervisor or general manager to come and look at the damage and resolve this issue. My deposit needs to be returned and my house fixed or an explanation from a higher up as to why they feel its okay to neglect a customer and not respond to them. Also if they choose not to contact me I would like an address to send legal papers to take them to small claims court.

Response:

College Pro is a franchised business - it is unfortunate that our franchisee did not fulfill the contract properly at the [redacted] residence. College Pro [redacted] contacted [redacted] last week and we have arranged to have the deposit check returned to Mr. [redacted]. This should resolve the complaint.

Review: After the house was painted, and College Pro was paid, I noticed an area that was not prepared correctly. [redacted] (###-###-####) who is in charge came out and scraped the side of the house that needed to be redone, He also added a primer and have not seen him since. That was almost two months ago. I have tried contacting [redacted] without any luck. I have called the main phone number ###-###-####, also without any results. I'm told I will receive a call from someone but haven't.

Therefore I applied the finish coat and in a couple of spots that were scraped to bear wood a primer.

It is out of the norm for [redacted] not to get back to me so I believe something may have happen to him and I have been forgotten. I believe that [redacted] is back in school in [redacted]. Equipment used in painting my house is still siting outside of my house. That also does not make since. Why leave equipment laying around if you are not coming back.Desired Settlement: Why was not the job completed? Who am I supposed to talk too?

Since I completed the finish coat to the area that had the primer is the warranty still good?
