We had a visit from a representative of the Collegiate Movers when we requested a quote for moving from Roanoke to a nearby city. The representative took a brief tour of every room in our house as well as our patio area. The day prior, we had also had a visit from another moving company who responded quickly with a high quote. After talking with Collegiate, they promised the same exact details given by the other company, but for a much lower fee. We were promised two trucks and careful transport of our belongings.

On moving day, four men arrived with one truck. One man quit in front of our house upon arrival and walked off the job. Long story short, our household furniture and belongings were smashed into one truck and they headed to Lynchburg. Many packed items were left behind! My husband has spent four days driving back and forth getting items left behind. I complained to the owner/manager and he stated that his employee never should have told us two trucks and made other promises. Really?? You arrive at a 3,200 sq ft house with one truck? And then you treat my things with reckless disregard?

I cannot believe there were not more complaints against this company. Warning! You get what you pay for. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone.

Honest and reliable, they did what they promised to do which is more than I can say for another company we used. Adrian was courteous and very helpful. Prices were very reasonable. I will highly recommend. They came through when I really needed them.

I can't praise these movers enough! Adrian was wonderful and the quote was very reasonable!! The crew headed by Kevin was outstanding!!! Had 4 young men to pack up and two to I load. They were courteous and efficient. They had to deal with a very difficult antique piece and an incredibly difficult drop off location for this piece. With Kevin's expertise and strength the piece was successfully moved in and the crew remained pleasant throughout. My move was a two drop move and throughout a long day everyone was a pleasure to deal with. I moved from Roanoke to Northern VA and Collegiate Movers made it as pleasant as a move can be. I highly recommend them!! Great experience from start to finish.
