RUN, DO NOT WALK!!!
Typical hype when he wants you to buy but disappears when it comes to warranty issues. Bought a set of replacement windows several years ago. When I had a problem Phil told me that the manufacturer went out of business, so I was [redacted]! Never mind that he gave me his "personal guarantee" that he would give them a LIFETIME warranty, above and beyond the 25 year guarantee that the manufacturer provided (not in WRITING, of course...).
The state of Connecticut requires their contractors to pay into a fund that can be used to help pay customers that get taken advantage of by unscrupulous individuals, however, when I had my lawyer look into his business, it turns out he WASN'T EVEN REGISTERED TO DO BUSINESS IN CONNECTICUT!!! So of course, he didn't pay into the fund!!!
So now, five years out, if I want energy efficient windows, I will have to get a real contractor to install them and then pay for them all over again!!
Do yourself a favor and don't even let them in.

Our kitchen is being redone. I ordered a casement window to be installed in my kitchen from Collegiate Window Systems. Phil Coleman came to my house to take our downpayment and order the window. The contractor that came to put in the window was knowledgable and that part went well. It was placed last Tuesday. I had to confirm with the company installing my cabinets that the window was in the correct place as there were some questions--- as the owner, I confirmed the window was correctly placed on Thursday night, placed Phils check in the mail Friday morning. I have received over 9 angry calls from Phil (starting Tuesday, the very night of the instillation, knowing there were still questions). He has continually harrassed us about payment----yet we paid in a timely fashion. Unless you wish to be treated poorly and harrassed--- I would avoid using this company--- EVER

Seal failure on installed windows. Owner of company not replacing dispite guarantee in contract.Purchased windows June 2006. Contract states "seal failure will be replaced at no charge". I have several windows with seal failure. I contacted owner, [redacted] to report this problem as several windows have already been replaced due to seal failure. Mr. [redacted] stated that the company that makes the windows has gone out of business thereby he cannot replace windows. This breaks the contract that states windows will be replaced if seal failure. In my estimation, he can replace with a similar brand. It is not my fault, nor should I have to live with windows that have failed due to another company going out of business. MY business was with Collegiate Windows, not the maker/distrbutor of the windows.Desired SettlementSeeking replacement of the windows in my home that have damage due to seal failure.Business Response The customer had 4 sashes that had seal failure in November 2010. All 4 of these sashes were replaced with new sashes at no charge, the reason being that the manufacturer, [redacted] and Doors, were still in business and their warranty was still in play. In February 2012, [redacted] went out of business. The warranty is now void because of this. Since [redacted] went bankrupt, I have given my customers two options: 1) I can get replacement sashes and charge my customers just for the cost of the sash itself; I provide the labor to replace the sashes at my own expense. 2) If the customer prefers, he/she can go to a glass company to fix the problem. I am a small business, and cannot afford to cover the manufacturer's warranty for a manufacturer that no longer exists. I try to compromise by asking the customer to pay for the sashes (materials) and I pay for the labor. It's the best I can offer without going out of business myself.
