My only pleasant experience was working with the salespersons in April and February They were both professional and accommodatingSo much for the niceties
Here's my unfortunate experienceApril I bought my vehicle for cash price of $15,and the total invoice $17,with a trade in on my car for $3,I was amazed when I returned on 2/6/(months later) to buy a larger car to accommodate my grandchildrenThey gave me a trade in value of $10,for the car they had just sold me months ago for $15,I can't believe a vehicle can depreciate $5,within months and only 6,miles, gosh that's $500/month for those monthsAnd yes, I purchased the vehicle AS IS but within a week of so of driving off the lot the check engine light comes onI took the car to an authorized dealership and the partial repair cost me approximately $I was so frustrated and called the salesman I purchased the car from and he said to bring it backHe was nice enough to loan me a car and send the car to their shop where I was out another $I felt comfortable buying the car as the owner spoke with me during the process and said the previous owner was a friend of his and he was sure the car was in GREAT shapeHmmmmmThey pride themselves because theyas they put itare the only dealership that provides a lifetime limited warranty on each car at "no charge" That's funny as I was given a discount if I didn't get the limited warranty but was told they really don't do that Keep in mind, the offered warranty is for vehicles under 100,milesHmmmmmm
By the way, if you terminate this warranty, you don't receive a refund of any sort as the "dealer bought it"Hmmmmmm
During my return visit to purchase a new car, they recommended that I test drive a VW diesel for approximately $18,I had it over the weekend and luckily found out it's one of the vehicles with the emissions problemsThese vehicles are not in demand and have no re-sale valueAuthorized dealers are prohibited from selling them and owners of these vehicles are asking VW to buy them backI couldn't believe they even recommended that vehicleHmmmmmmmI also found out you can purchase a low mileage VW Passat (not diesel) for $15,+-
They did, however, fix the ding in the windshield and had an extra key made but this was discussed during my purchase process
