Collins Asset Group, LLC (CAG) received a complaint through the Revdex.com portal on 3/20/2017 from [redacted] (co-debtor on account [redacted]).  The Primary debtor on the account is [redacted] ([redacted]’ granddaughter).  CAG purchased the account in question on 5/22/2014.   CAG...

sent a validation letter to [redacted] on 6/9/2014.  [redacted] called in 11/6/2014 and spoke to one of our agents. She stated that she would speak with her husband and may be able to pay $100 a month on the account.  [redacted] told our agent that she would call the next day to setup a payment plan.  [redacted] made several promises to pay; however, no payments have been made from the date of account validation until now.    After multiple attempts to contact [redacted], we attempted contact with [redacted] (co-signer) beginning around 3/15/2016.  CAG spoke to [redacted] on 3/9/2017, in which he stated that he received a paper from [redacted] informing him that he is not responsible for this debt.  [redacted] then terminated the phone call before the agent could ask for a copy of the paperwork.  We could quickly resolve this account If [redacted] would send us a copy of the paperwork stating that he has been released from responsibility as he previously stated he received from [redacted].   This communication is from a debt collector.
