My wife and I have been going to St. George Island for 12 years now. This year, 3 days before our trip, our 14-year-old English Setter (Chloe) slipped a disk in her neck. She was in a lot of pain. The Vet said not to let her do anything to strain her neck for 2 weeks. If she did, she could become paralyzed. So I called Collins Vacation Rentals and asked if we could move our reservation to a week that the house wasn't rented. They said they would check with the owners and get back to me. They did. The owners of Angel Wing said they were "unwilling to help". Really? They weren't going to lose any money; there were plenty of weeks the house wasn't rented (it's winter!). I asked to speak to a supervisor and after a rather short conversation was basically told that I was out of luck. We paid in advance (you have to) and they kept it all. Nice. In the end, it's about character, and this should not have happened.
