Colocino Contraction

Review: Incident involves a contract by the business listed, failure to finish job, failure to refund all money. Contractor started job worked approx 15 hours then stopped we contacted him several times till he returned call said he was helping a friend would return to finish our job in 2 weeks almost 3 weeks went by we tried contacting him several times he came to my home told my daughter he hurt his back it would be 2 more weeks to come back finish the job almost 3 weeks again us trying to contact him till he returned call said he couldn't do the job he still had a bad back he would give us 400.00 and the purchased materials back and we could find someone else to do rest of job. He was to then bring us all the purchased materials and refund us what the difference was on 9/28/13 and never showed. He showed 9/29/13 at 8 am with no materials and a check for 675.00. We paid him total 1,640.00 he worked 15 hrs approx. left my home in worse shape than before starting job. I now can't shut or lock my back door, you can see daylight to outside water now drips on back steps and flies are coming in my house. This man begged my husband for months to do this job took our money and does not want to refund the rest. We have since found out he is on disability collecting a paycheck and is doing jobs under the table for money. I have a signed contract cancelled checks he cashed, and small amount of cash we gave him and a house in worse condition and don't think this is actually a legal business. He still owes us 965.00 back since he failed to do the job.Desired Settlement: I want the remaining balance 965.00 we paid him due to failure to comply with contract and the headache and hassles he's put us through. If this indeed is not a legitimate business I want him shut down before he does this to someone else if he has not already. If he is collecting disability how can he have a construction business??
