Premium Refund
I carried Colonial General insurance on my property for years. Never made a claim. Sold the property and cancelled the insurance. Been waiting for a premium refund for 6 weeks now. The independent agent keeps telling me that the refund is “in process.” How long is it going to take? Glad I never had a claim. Would think twice about carrying Colonial General again. Seems like poor service to me.

Revdex.com:
In reference to complaint ID ***, the business sent a technician to assess the problem, and a replacement window sash is now on order. This resolution is satisfactory, so you may remove the complaint
Thank you,

We have addressed this issue and had the opportunity to meet with the customer. His issue was one of a miscommunication on our end with the correct manufacturer We have taken care of the service and the homeowner has told us he will request to have the complaint removes from the Revdex.com

Thank you for your message and I completely understand your frustration with this sensitive situation. The window services with our previous [redacted] products has been a very disappointing road that both DreamHome Remodeling, Inc. & our customers have endured. Once the company that bought [redacted],...

[redacted], decided to no longer honor their promise to uphold the [redacted] warranties, it left us in a difficult position. We ultimately worked out an exclusive deal with [redacted] where they would allow our customers to purchase the replacement glass from them and of course, DreamHome would still cover all labor costs. Developing this [redacted] relationship took half a year to establish and while all other companies decided to either hide by either changing their company name or just close their doors, DreamHome Remodeling worked hard to find a solution for our customers and has even helped customers from other companies throughout the years. If we wound up going out of business ourselves, all of our customers would then be forced to either keep the defective windows, or to pay another company to completely replace the defective windows. I do want to clarify that the payment for the windows is the at-cost price from the manufacturer and goes directly to [redacted]. You should have received a letter when you called the service in explaining this difficult situation and I am going to investigate this further as to why it was not sent to you so I do apologize for that. Please contact the Director of Operations with any further questions regarding this matter at [redacted]
Thank you,Tiffany H[redacted]Director of Operations

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding the window warranty issue. While our Director of Operations had contacted you immediately after discovering this issue and worked with you throughout the process, there seems to be areas we need to continue to work on to better communicate with...

our customers and to alleviate any distress regarding this sensitive matter. We greatly appreciate you as our customer and strive to provide excellent customer service. Since the window manufacturer, [redacted], had gone bankrupt, DreamHome Remodeling, along with other companies, were informed that the only option for our customers would be to replace their entire window. Since this is not a favorable choice, we worked aggressively to obtain the alternative option for our customers to replace the glass portion with comparable glass pack at a small cost. Again, this is not a service that DreamHome Remodeling is charging for, nor receiving any money from. The "at cost" price for the glass portion is paid directly to the replacement glass manufacturer. For you and for any customer that has experienced this same issue, DreamHome Remodeling is coming out and installing the new glass at no charge. As for not being able to get the attention of the owner, they are well aware of all customer concerns and issues and ask that our Director of Operations handle the situations. We sincerely appreciate you as our life long customer and will continue to work hard at providing the best customer service we can, considering the situation. Prior to this review, Mr. C[redacted] and our Director of Operations were unaware that there were still outstanding questions/issues since we had installed all failed windows. Thank you for forwarding the email to our Director of Operations and all outstanding issues are being addressed.

This complaint has been addressed between DreamHome Remodeling, Inc. & [redacted]. We immediately contacted [redacted] after the complaint was made and met with the homeowner in person on March 16th. Thank you.

From: [redacted] <[redacted].com>Date: Mon, Oct 19, 2015 at 10:49 AMSubject: complaint [redacted]To: "[redacted]@myRevdex.com.org" <[redacted]@myRevdex.com.org>[redacted],I would like to advise you that my complaint with Dream Homes Remodeling has been resolved. I apologize for the delay, but we were waiting for Gutter Helmet to come out and re-align the gutters. They have verified the lifetime guarantee is still in effect. Dream Homes went to extraordinary lengths to resolve the issue. In spite of the communication problems we had, I would recommend them to anyone looking to replace a roof.I appreciate your help in bringing about this resolution.[redacted]

I am a relatively new licensed Arizona Insurance Agent working for a major exchange and I had been referred to CG by a fellow agent so I contracted with Colonial General when I found that my company didn't have an appetite for General Liability for my client. I was originally assigned an agent who was rude to me and obviously didn't have time to help me to write the policy I desired so I asked for another agent and I was able to muddle through the process with just the minimum assistance from this one. My client required several endorsements to the policy and each time I asked for assistance I was pretty much told that I had to figure out how to do it myself. I have since found a much more conducive company to write the policies that I am unable to write through my company and I would suggest that unless you know everything there is to know about commercial policies or maybe if you are writing a million dollar premium policy you should look elsewhere than this company.
