Dear *** ***,
This letter is in response to the letter we received in reference to Revdex.com Case #***. We repaired a *** *** *** for the customer. His vehicle was dropped off on March 13, 2014. The owner’s vehicle had a
poor quality aftermarket ground effect kit installed with sheet rock screws. This installation was prior to the vehicle coming to our facility When a vehicle is dropped off for repair, it is at that time that it is disassembled for repair. It is at that time we noticed the sheet rock screws, and had the insurance company come out to re-inspect the vehicle. Upon ordering the new aftermarket kit, it was found that the order would not arrive until 3 to weeks later. The insurance company ask us to re-install the damaged bumper, and to have the customer re-drop the vehicle when the parts arrived. After disassembling a damaged vehicle, reassembly of damaged parts is not an easy task. The owner’s vehicle was certainly no exception. The poor workmanship of the previous installation made this task extremely difficult. However, we did manage to reinstall the bumper with the SAME SCREWS the vehicle had when it arrived.
As to the complaint to the rental, we made many calls to the insurance come to assist with the rental process. We do this as a courtesy to all our customers However, ultimately the rental is beyond our control. We do not get to make decisions on what happens with rentals. That is not our business
We called to ask the owner to drop the vehicle back off on April 7, 2014. His girlfriend notified us that the he was incarcerated, and would not be able to drop off himself. We did not have a problem with this, as we already had a signed authorization to repair from the owner. The vehicle was dropped off and disassembled. When vehicles are disassembled, often times some repairs are done off the vehicle. At this time vehicles are secured in a locked fenced area. Just because a vehicle is there, does not mean it is not being worked on This repair was a special case due to the poor quality of the aftermarket kit. It was new and the same
type that the owner already had previously.
This bumper was not a simple paint and bolt on. It would take more than a day to install. While we were sympathetic to the girlfriend and the rental issue, we could not control that. The girlfriend became very irate. We were doing everything we could to finish the repair. However, we could not jeopardize the quality of repair, because of a rental issue. At that time the girlfriend posted many profane complaints on our *** page The owner was unreachable, and his mother was contacted, not bullied. We are Christians, and my children view this page. I did not feel the post was appropriate. Because the girlfriend was so irate at this time, our lawyer advised that we only deal with the owner beyond that point. The vehicle repair was complete on April 18, 2014. We contacted the owner, and he picked up the vehicle.
We respect and appreciate all customers. We go above and beyond to make the collision process a smooth one. In this case, the owner seems to be mainly upset about two things that had nothing to do with us: the rental and the previous bumper installation. I am sorry the customer feels this way. However, we could not control these two issues.

If there are questions or other information needed, feel free to contact me

Do NOT leave vehicle with Colonial Heights Collision Center THERE ARE NO CAMERAS. Items stolen from vehicle. When asked if they could help me find out who burglarized my vehicle, the company owner rudely reminded me of my contract that stated they held no responsibility. When the police questioned the owner, he found that the lot HAD NO CAMERAS. I am saddened by the disrespect shown and the lack of care for my vehicle.

Review: lady backed n2 my car cracking my front bumper. Her ins co told me 2 take my car 2 Colonial Heights Collision Center. called them, was told when to drop my car, n that id get a rental. followed their directions and got a rental. week later the bodyshop called n said they wouldt have bumper for a month, n that I need 2 return rental, pick up my car until the bumper was n. next day I did that. on my car the cracked bumper was back on n worse shape than before, n was held on w/ drywall screws which r not made for cars. I figured since the bumper was gettin fixed anyway Id overlook it. hours after I picked up my car, the bodyshop called n said since they hadnt been working on my car, I had 2 pay 4 rental. I had 2 call n argue w/ [redacted] n the ladys insurance. My girl worked n a bodyshop n said it it the bodyshops job 2 negotiate w/ the ins co, since they r the ones getting paid. No 1 there made any such efforts 4 me. a month later they said my bumper was n that I could bring my car back. I wasnt n town, my girl n I share a car, so she took over everything from here on. She called bodyshop n told all that 2 them, n asked could she pick up my rental car. Again, bodyshop was not helpful n told her call [redacted] n fig it out herself. This began on Friday, n she was due 2 drop car off on Monday. She called [redacted], they said it would depend on the ladys insurance, n she needed to call bodyshop to get that info. she called bodyshop back, said that, they said its lunchtime call back at 330. she did, still no 1 knew the answer, n said theyd call her back. never called back. dropped car off on monday, couldnt get rental. week n 1/2 later car is not done, has been sitting in back lot, bumper off, all week. she left bad review on ** bc she told them we share a car, they knew she couldnt get rental. owner called my mom threatening to call the cops if she didnt remove it. she refused, so he refused to release the car to her, requiring me to take time I dont have and go up there myselfDesired Settlement: 0

Review: My Daughter was involved in a car accident. She hit a parked car. Colonial Heights Collision Center towed her Vehicle. When I attempted to pick up the vehicle they presented a $575 bill for towing and 3 days of Storage. I questioned the charges and spoke with the owner/manager. He said that the reason the charges were so high was because my daughters vehicle had to be pried from a telephone pole. My daughters vehicle never hit any telephone pole. I could understand a 2-300$ bill for towing and 3 days storage. $575 is outlandish. This company has misrepresented services rendered.
