Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing in response to a complaint from [redacted] on 10/4/I have attached supporting documentsHe placed himself on automatic delivery when he set up his account on Dec6, It is an industry standard that there is no contract to sign That means that he requested we deliver to him automaticallyAs we tell each one of our automatic customers, he needed to watch his tank for the first deliveries and call us if it got to 1/before we delivered to him so that we could get a handle on his usageThe bottom line is that he put himself on an automatic delivery schedule and neglected to take himself off automatic when he decided to change to gasAll of his previous deliveries say auto on each oneI offered some suggestions as to how to use up the oil in his tank, he could keep his oil system a little longer or I offered info on a company that might pay him to remove itI do not have the capability to remove oil from a tankI also offered to work out some type of payment plan and he swore at me and said to put it on his credit card Thank you for your assistance in this matter[redacted] , TreasurerColonial Oil

There has been no contradiction on my partThey are the ones who filled my oil tank without my permission.In my opinion I think they made a mistake and don't want to own up to itI don't think I should have to waste my time fixing there mistake I am only asking for my money back and for them to take there oil, no one is losing anything hereIf they refuse thenI will have no choice but to take them to small claims courtI don't think it will hold up with no signed contract or proof of a verbal agreement, I don't want to waste either of our time doing so but I will if I am forced to

The oil tank is not connected to anything in the houseThe company was aware that we we switching to oil when we first called last December for serviceThat should have also been included in their notes, but was left outI feel as though they think we are trying to get something for freeThis is not the caseThe house has a whole new heating system and national grid has pulled their permit to connect the house to a gas lineWe also currently have an electric water heaterThe company did not offer a reasonable compromise; only one that would dig deeper into my pocket.

Dear Sir or Madam,     Not withstanding the fact that Mr. [redacted] has repeatedly contradicted himself on this subject, and I have no way of knowing all the items he listed unless he calls me to cancel automatic delivery or close his account, My response remains the same:He had a standing order for automatic delivery as evidenced on the delivery tickets previously sent to you. Since he did not cancel that standing order, we made a delivery. He is responsible to pay for it. As previously stated there are some options for him to get rid of the fuel, maybe even some people that might pay him a little for it. I can not remove oil from a homeowner's tank.Best Regards,[redacted]Colonial Oil
