This comes to no surprise the complaint.[redacted] was very rude with his phone call, as I did not receive the first call into the office, his anger became explosive once he reached me on his final call. When he rudely explained the situation, I asked if he could be placed on hold so I could check...

with the dispatcher to see what time the driver left, to ensure he gave himself enough time. When I returned to the phone, I explained that the driver did in fact leave at the required transit time for pick up, but was stuck in heavy unexpected traffic do to an accident. The driver call to explain he would be approx 30 minutes late, and re-routed the trip to a closed bridge that delayed his an additional 10 minutes.  Agian the driver kept customer updated. When I came on the phone I repeated the information he already was explained, and said thank  you, I then said thank you for understanding, and he yelled out to me "I WAS BEING SARCASTIC", I then said, we can not help auto accidents and we were doing the best we could, he continued to yell at me saying he travels all the time and he knows you can avoid.I then suggested canceling the trip since he was being so irate, that I would charge only for the food, and prepaid wine tastings.  We must pre pay tastings because reservations are required and they turn away any business they could have reserved. The fee was for food, drink, wine, fruit, crackers, tolls, gas and drivers time.[redacted] agreed to pay to services.Once my driver got there, he yelled that he was not in driveway and made him circle the city streets, driveway was on side street we were not informed to park there or location.  When he arrived the 3 other passengers entered the car, when driver called me I said this trip was cancelled, so the driver put me on the phone and I said this trip was cancelled why are you getting into the car.  Instead of apologizing for his rudeness he yelled at passengers to get out, when his wife went to leave the car, the driver extended his hand to help, and she screamed do not touch me.Fee charged was fee we incurred. The driver also stated that [redacted] was rude and probably the nastiest man he has run into during his 40 years of service.  He stated he never said anything about manager yelling.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I was only told I would charge for the pre-order food that the other items listed, this is why I am requesting a $152.96 refund.  I know this is a "he say - she say" situation but most of the information in Colonial Transportation reply is not correct.  I was not "very rude" and I do not "yell".  It was my birthday and I was in a very good state of mind.  Please note we had a very nice exchange with the driver.  He wanted us to go on the event.  He was very nice and stated he was sorry.  He did state this is not the first time the office has been very rude.  After the fact, I checked some reviews on Colonial Transportation and following is a same of some of the "bad' ones:  "Dispatchers are rude", "Over charges", "Left us stranded", "Horrible service", "Beware", "They treat you like they are doing you a favor".  Thanks - [redacted]

Review: We booked a 60th birthday wine tasting tour (Reservation # [redacted]) to start at 11 am on 8/**/2015 for $650.00 not including driver tip. At 10:50 am the driver called and stated he will be 20-25 late. At 11:30 am I called the company Events Coordinator / Office Manager requesting an update. She starting yelling at me stating they do not have control over traffic or accidents. I do not enjoy being yelled at so I canceled the Reservation. She yelled at me she was going to charge me for the four pre-order sandwiches. I stated OK and hung-up. I was billed $202.96. I called to question the high charge and they started yelling at me again so again I hung-up. For the record the driver showed up at 11:45 am, he was very nice and he stated the Office Manager yells at everyone!Desired Settlement: I assumed four pre-order sandwiches could not be more than $50. So I would like a refund of $152.96. Thank you

Response:

Yes, this is a he said she said I did speak with the driver and he did state [redacted] was one of the rudest customers he has experienced, and he also stated he did not tell him I yell at anyone, this is something the driver is willing to speak to someone with this and speak his side as well. The prepayment is not only food, we must prepay wineries to secure reservations made, this can be verified with any winery. The trip from Sayville Long Island to NYC requires Tolls, and fuel, payroll hours, this also if prepayment involved. The driver kept contact, and arrived at the time stated after finding road conditions to be out of his control.Regarding the other reviews, that is the taxi side of our business, not the long distance and special events. Our taxi department is reachable ###-###-#### if you would like to verify.I understand [redacted] being upset, but traffic and accidents are not controllable, and his actions, words and sarcasm were far from polite, or spoken in a calm manner. His continued bashing over the internet is a sure sign of his actions.
