Review: I applied for an apartment for my family. 3 people had to sign the lease. I signed the lease on 8/29. I paid a pet deposit of $250, a security deposit of $300 and month's rent of $505. I took my husband to see the apartment on 8/31. He said he would not live there due to the condition of the apartment and the grounds. I went back on 9/3 to let them know we did not want the apartment, their comment was the lease was a legal document. I understand that but now everyone signed the lease. I am only a co-applicant who is unemployed. My husband is the applicant. My son is also a co-applicant, neither of which has signed the lease. The leasing agent told me I would have to speak with the property manager. She is never available. I have may multiple daily calls and left voice messages since they never answer the phone. I never receive a call back. I believe that my money paid should be refunded since not all parties have signed the lease and I made the request within 3 business days (9/2 was a holiday).Desired Settlement: I would like for my money to be refunded so that I may pay the money to move into another apartment that we have found, we are not going to live at Colonial Village. I do not believe the lease in it's current condition is a binding legal document since all parties have not signed. I need help getting their attention. I have not been able to find out who owns the complex. I asked who there management company was and was given [redacted]. The number is a v-mail for Colonial Village.

Review: The on site manager [redacted] refuses to give me the right corporate number or property manager number. I moved out on feb. 28th 2013 gave the company 30 day notice I have yet to recieve anything showing where I owe a balance but [redacted] continues to tell me that I have a balance but she doesn't know how much and that it has been reported to there credit bureau which she doesn't have a number for as well. I have all my pictures of my move out the amount of my deposit waa $271 the only damage done was 4 sqares missing on my kitchen floor tile which starting peeling and lifting so I just took them up. Since I moved in I think [redacted] has a had a personal issue with me this is not the first incident involving her. There is a lady by the name of [redacted] who works for colonial village who was at one point the on-site mangager when they fired [redacted] she is very professional and did her best to help me as much as possible.Desired Settlement: All I want is a fair statement with no balance and something showing exactly what I was charged for. And a number for Colonial Villages owner/property manager. Because I don't feel I was treated fair because of personal issues with heather

Review: gtenant in apartment complex that has had unresolved maintenance issue for three years repeatedly tod before lease expires that it will be fixed. and has not been fixed. entore front wall at entry door is rotten, rain water leaks in at door frame and window.Desired Settlement: rent money returned both to me and to section 8 housing for 12 mths.

Review: Property Manager Assistant/Manager, Dianne rented me the club house at Colonial Village Apartments for my 12yr old daughter birthday party for June 8th, 2013 on I took her a money order for 36 dollars the total amount for the rental from 2-5pm for 12 an hour. One the day I took her the money order for the clubhouse rental property manager Heather was in the pool cleaning it out. I asked was the pool going to be ready the day of the reservation and she indicated yes she is in the pool now cleaning it. On the day of the party I arrived at the clubhouse to set up, the door was locked, I called after hours maintence, Mike, who stated he did not know anything about the rental but will call the onsite maintenance guy to open the clubhouse. Baldo, arrived 10 mins later and opened the clubhouse. The clubhouse was unclean and the pool cleaning supplies was everywhere. Baldo proceeded to pick up the stuff and put the items away, My friend and I assisted so that the party could get set up. He apologized for the mess and offered to let us stay an additional 30 mins for our troubles. He left. Around 3:30pm I left to go pick up my daughters cake from walmart that is on Peters Creek Pkwy, a 5 min drive. At 3:55pm I noticed phone calls was missed, and I received a phone call from my daughter saying mother please get here the police is making all of my friends get out of the pool and stand out infront of the clubhouse. She was crying and very upset. My daughters uncle had arrived and too advised me that the police was indicating that we was trespassing and that everyone had to leave. The property managers husband who also works over maintainence name Brian got on the phone and indicated that the pool has harmful chemicals in it and all of the kids need to rush home and take a shower. He also stated that Heather stated that the scheduled party had been canceled and I was not to be in the clubhouse. I arrived on site and police officer SW Houle was present and he indicated that the Property Manager Heather hadDesired Settlement: cont. from earlier.. advised him that there was harmful chemicals in the pool and that the kids had to take a shower and that I was trespassing and we could possibly go to jail. I showed him my money order receipt of where I paid for the clubhouse and that no one gave me any note, any call or anything indicating that the party was canceled and that I could not no longer have the party there. So he asked Brian could he make a copy of the receipt he indicated that he did not know how to work the

Review: Both of my bathrooms has water coming out around the bottom of the toilets and management said we have to wait until Monday Feb.3. There are 3 adults and any 2 years in my house. We are unable to use the restroom with out the water backing up out of the toilet or even use our bathtubDesired Settlement: That Colonial Village would fix these apartments when there is a emergency at hand

Review: I have been attempting to retrieve my security deposit from Colonial Village apartments for the last six months. My lease ended on 5/31/2014. From there the manager of COlonial Village notified me via phone that it would take up to six weeks to return my security deposit from 5/31/14. During those six weeks I regularly called and emailed the management of Colonial Village inquiring about my security deposit, yet I received no response. Finally, I found out that the management of Colonial Village Apartments had been bought out sometime in July and had been taken over by a new management and and company called Silas Creek Apartments. I reached out to the new management inquiring about my security deposit from the previous management, however, they had no record of my file or my security deposit. They also did not have any contact information for me to contact my old management to request my security deposit.Desired Settlement: I would just like to have security deposit returned to me. I have done everything I can do as a previous tenant to properly and professionally retrieve my security deposit, but has not helped me get any closer to getting my security deposit. Despite the lack of communication and professionalism by Colonial Village I do not want to escalate the matter, I just want justice.
