We gave colony cargo $4,078.00 on April 3,2019. Our trailer was to be delivered May 1-, We've had no communication! No answer,nothing! Please help

I'm completely at "gun point" here ... I cannot get any help from Colony Cargo or American Trailer Pro's ....Tim *** assured me he would keep me updated. What happened? Please help, my son already has landed in Georgia and was expecting to go and pick up a trailer.... he's tried contacting them from where he's at in Statesboro also with no luck. Are they out of business? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Desired Outcome

Either my trailer delivered to us( already late!) or a refund so we can move on and find another trailer. I'm reasonable to work with, I gave them my money in good faith and now we can't even get a courtesy call... very disappointing!

The customer was told in a comversation that the trailer was delayed by the manufacturer and that we would call when it was complete. The customer was informed today that the trailer would be available for pickup on Monday the 6th of may and was agreeable to that.

Issue has been resolved.

They promised delivery in an amount of time and provided a price that was false. Misleading sales practices.
We looked at a few trailer resellers but since Colony said they could have the trailer ready in 4 to 5 weeks, we went with them, even those they are an hour away. After calling and emailing so many times, it took 8 weeks to finally receive our trailer. Next, they told us that the unit was ready yesterday. Therefore, we drove an hour to Colony to get our unit and we were told it's not ready! The trailer builder forgot to install something. As was mentioned, all we received was "sorry". Nothing for the long wait which caused us to lose money. Nothing for making us wait 90 minutes to pick up our unit when we had an appointment that we had to postpone. To add insult to injury, they gave us a price that didn't include tax and we are registering the unit in the state of GA. Basically, we paid more than we could have by purchasing it for locally and had to wait just as long. Just HORRIBLE customer service! Hopefully, the trailer will hold up to expectations. I would not recommend them.

They should honor the price. We live in GA. They knew this so why would they quote us an out the door price that does not include tax? Why would they promise 4 to 5 weeks when it took 8 weeks? We could have purchased an already built unit closer to where we live.

The order was placed late Friday afternoon on *** Therefore the order went to the manufacturer on Monday, *** Since the trailer was custom build to their specifications, they could not have purchased it locally already built. The trailer was finished in 6 weeks not 8. All delivery dates are estimates. We do not guarantee delivery dates because we are at the mercy of the manufacturer. They live in GA and everything they buy has tax added at checkout. They were liable for taxes and knew that. They would have had to pay the sales tax regardless of where the trailer was purchased. We did give them a trailer ball at no cost plus we changed it out for them because they did not come prepared with the correct size ball needed to tow their trailer home. The customer was treated with respect through out the process and we did apologize for the delay from the manufacturer.

Colony is being dishonest yet again. As you will see, we came in on *** and placed the order, not *** as they are falsely claiming. (Please see proof attached)

We initially came in to buy a unit on the spot that was advertised and it was no longer available. At that point, we ordered a unit because we were assured that we would get it in 4 to 5 weeks. *** claimed they worked exclusively with a local manufacturer that could get this done; this was their competitive advantage.

We we given a turn key price that included tax. When we took delivery, they processed my bank information that was stored in the system. At the time that we examined the final invoice, we noticed that tax was not included. They then processed another charge from my bank. We should not have been charged for this, it should have been included in the out the door price. Is it not even illegal to sell an item to someone in the same state and not collect tax?

This additional charge was not authorized. They were misleading in the same way that they lied and said we placed an order on*** when its clear that it was ***

Let me add, we are having issues with the dead bolt and back doors on the trailer; we emailed them today.

1. Customer did not receive a turn key price that included the sales tax.(see attached) She even admitted that in her complaint. (At the time that we examined the final invoice, we noticed that tax was not included.)

2. The customer was aware that the taxes had been added to the transaction at check out and received the invoice showing that. All charges were authorized.

3. The trailer was ordered on*** (see attached)

4 The complaint on the doors has been addressed with customer. The warranty is a factory warranty and the customer was told that they had to bring the trailer back to us to have it fixed at the factory.

1. Colony is being deceptive again. We were initially charged the total balance at delivery. After we were charged the balance, the amount charged was presented, along with the final bill and we reviewed it. They had our bank info saved in the system.

2. As mentioned, the discussion always was about the out the door price. We were charged twice from our bank (since I could not attach the proof here, I emailed it separately) only AFTER we reviewed the final bill and said: "hey, you forgot to show the tax that was paid". They simply changed our bank again for the additional charges without discussing it with us. This is why there are two charges from my bank. If they ALWAYS include the tax in the price (as they intimated) there would only be one charge from our bank.

3. Their paperwork even states *** Where are they coming up with ***?

4. Yes. They did say we could bring in the trailer to address the warranty issue. This is about the only thing where they are being honest.

I bought a 7 foot trailer and received a 6 1/2... there are minor cosmetic flaws all over the trailer but none seem big enough to return the trailer over. I also got screwed when colony suggested I finance the remaining 3,000 I owed with Quick spark Financial, who ultimately charged me $11,000 for a $3000 loan. So all in all my 6 1/2 ( should be 7) foot trailer cost me the 10,000 cash I paid down and now another $11,000 in financing. I will never recommend or use this company again. They have crippled my business.

Everything worked out perfect. No issues during 13 hour drive home. *** answered every question I had before ordering. I asked a lot. Trailer was exactly as I ordered it. Would recommend them again.

Colony Cargo is absolutely one of the best businesses I have ever dealt withI purchased a year old used trailer last spring that was built by Colony CargoI needed information on the trailer build for my records and also so I could get a DMV title for it (the previous owner lives in a state that doesn't require tags and a title)Colony Cargo bent over backwards to help me get the info I neededI would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality built trailer and great customer support!

I ordered a enclosed motorcycle trailer from Barry at colony cargo in early may 2015 and was promised trailer last week of may. The trailer was done a week early. it was very good quality. I would recommend Colony cargo to anyone. Job well done. Thanks to the team of [redacted] and [redacted] at Colony Cargo for providing quality trailers at a good price.Thanks again Dave.

poor customer service did not provide what I order the try to get me to take it anyway
I call talked to them the day before and Tim said it will be there by 11 o'clock Friday I called and he said it was not there it will be I told him I was on my way and it was a 12.5 hour drive to make sure it was going to be there he said he called and they sais it would be there so I made an 8 o'clock appointment to pick it up on sat then a little after 5 he called me back a=said it did not have the ac unit but I could installed it my self well I said I payed you to do it and I ask if the braces was there if seam them he said I can not but they are I ask how dose he know that and he said because you order it with braces I said yes but I also order it with ac and it don't have it I don't even know if it is wired for it he said it was again the same statement I said to him then he got real smart so I said at this point I just assume to have my money back the he hung up on me so I called back his daughter *** answer the phone and she was very rude and I ask if they could send me an email saying the would give my money again she got really *** off then they said they would give me my money back that's been 4 days ago I have not received anything all this happen on December 8 2017 the invoice number of the invoice is

all I want is all my money back and an ap0ligies from *** and is daughter sense I was told they was the owners that make it even worse then if was a sale person

The Customer's credit card was refunded on the 8th of December and a check for the balance due him was mailed on the 9th of December. The customer was offered a reduction in the cost of the AC unit and we offered to drop ship the AC and pay to have it installed. Sometimes we find that we can make a good faith effort to correct any problems, but the customer remains belligerent to any suggestions.I told him that the AC was not installed on the trailer and offered a solution that he found unacceptable. At that point all I could do was suggest that he save himself six hours driving time and go home and that I would refund his money.

There has not been no new development I tried to call him and I talked to another sales person his name was *** and he did not tell me the truth neither so I'm under the impression that nobody there tells the truth just after the customers money

The refund check cleared my bank on the 26th of
December. Mr. has to allow the US Post Office time to do their job. He also had to have had the check before the last complaint was filed on the 26th the day the check cleared.
