Review: I went into Colony Cleaners and I brought in 2 skirts to have dry-cleaned and when I came in to pick them up (from [redacted]) one was stained heavily with a yellow dye while the other was missing buttons. I pointed this out immediately and she got very defensive and told me that I brought them in like that. I told her I was a business professional and my clothes are never dirty, they just need to be dry-cleaned. She got angry and started yelling at me. I asked her about the skirt that was missing buttons and she said that it wasn't cleaned. I said why, she said it was missing buttons and they do not clean damaged items. I then told her that she should have "not cleaned" the white skirt with the yellow dye stains then if I brought it in damaged. She immediately became enraged that she was caught in a lie and kicked me out of her store. The reviews on yelp are horrible, showing that this hasn't only happened with me. Something needs to be done abut businesses that operate in such a manner.Desired Settlement: I was out hundreds of dollars from their mistake with no apology or settlement. I expect an apology.

There are a few things I would like to address about Ms. [redacted] complaint. She states that there were missing buttons on her skirt, however before we do any cleaning in our store, we inspect each item carefully to make sure it is in perfect condition. The skirt was already missing buttons, therefore we did rejected it. We do not do work on items that are brought in damaged or missing items on them because we do not want to be blamed in case the customer brought it in without knowing. Also, I would like to point out that these items she is complaining about was over two years ago. How are we supposed to know what she has done throughout the two years with these clothes? I do not understand after two years why she is blaming us for the stains and missing buttons. If there was an issue with the cleaning we had done, she should have brought it in right away for us to look at. I do not feel responsible for the items she claims we damaged.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This is simply outrageous and ridiculous!!!! What is the point of taking your clothes to a drycleaner if they do not need to be cleaned! Please review this businesses yelp reviews! I am not the only person with a claim like this. Some type of disciplinary action needs to be taken or else I will be filing a lawsuit against this business!!!!

Dear Revdex.com,

Like I stated before, we do not do cleaning on clothes that are brought in already damaged unless notified ahead of time by the customer that they already know and would still like the clothes to be cleaned. Ms. [redacted] brought in the a skirt with missing buttons, therefore we did not do any cleaning on it. Also, I would like to point out once again that this complaint she is filing is on items of clothes she claims we damaged two years ago. I do not feel we are responsible for the damaged items. It has been way to long for us to take blame for these damaged items and I do not know what she has done with the clothes throughout the two years.
