Colony Roofers did a fantastic job installing my roof! Alex *** was my rep who assisted in getting the approval from my insurance company after being denied twice within a year with two other roofing companies. I just gave him my insurance companies information and the job was approved within a week, easy breezy! The crew showed up early, about 7:30 and the job was completed about 5:00. Alex came by before the completion to make sure the job was going smoothly and to do a walk around with me to make sure I was happy. They cleaned up all debris and nothing was left but a beautiful roof. I highly recommend Colony Roofers, great job!

Thank you for the kind words! It was a pleasure taking care of your home.

I would like to give 10 stars!! We have used Colony Roofers on 3 of our properties. Mark is a man of his word. His crew is fantastic. They work quick and do quality work. The crew made sure to respect our properties and was very friendly. They left all of our properties clean & free of any roofing debris. We have been very pleased & will continue to refer Colony Roofers to all.

Colony was contracted to replace a roof at *** GA. The issue concerns a roof leak, and flashing at the entrance.
There is a leak in the front bedroom from the roof, and the lack of step flashing at the front entrance of the home. I originally spoke with the owner Mark, several weeks ago, who promised to address both issues. However, nothing has been done. Subsequently, I have left numerous messages on his and two other employee's voice mail and his email.

Desired Outcome

Correct the roof leak, replace any rotten sheeting and complete the step flashing - it has no counter flashing and looks terrible at the entrance door.

I have heard from them stating that they have corrected all of the issues, but based upon my previous experience with them I want confirm. Which requires my inspector to go back and confirm that they have addressed the issues. That should be completed by late next week.

Colony Roofers Response • Mar 09, 2020

I have not heard from Mr. in months, so I presume the issue is resolved. We went out and promptly dealt with the issue.

Scott, thank you so much for your help and support with my new roof. You held my hand through the entire process and I appreciate it. It looks amazing. I can't believe the job was completed in one day. And the only thing the crew left behind was my new, beautiful roof! Thank you and Colony Roofers!!

Cole M at Colony Roofers. He was very professional and walked us through the entire process and even personally showed up the day of the Roof Replacement to make sure it went off without a hitch. The roof looks amazing and getting a lot of compliments from my neighbors. The guys did a wonderful job cleaning up after they were done. I Highly recommend them to do your roof. thanks Cole.

The ***'s family appreciate a job well done!

Great company! I dealt with Mark S, the owner at Colony. The roof looks beautiful and the guys did a great job cleaning up after they were done. Highly recommended!!!!!

Colony Roofers installed a roof on December 11,2018 finished the job on December 13,2018. Immediately after they finished installing the roof I went out to make sure the work was to my satisfaction discovered that they damaged the hardy plank where the chimney is as well on the front of my home. They also put damaged flashing on the front and back of my home. The dump truck damaged my concrete. I contacted Jennifer (the owners assistant) with my concerns and she came out on December 19,2018 to access the damages. Till date nothing has been done yet I receive a claim of Lien for $28,325.92 that was due on 12/11/2018 the day they started work on my home. The owner has threatened to place a Lin on my home, to file foreclosure if I did not pay him via text messages

Desired Outcome

Explanation of Charges I have requested for a receipt of materials purchased and the warranty for the roof as well as the labor warranty before any money. To pay for the damages done to my property as well

Colony Roofers Response • Dec 31, 2018

Mrs. entered into contract with Colony Roofers on 11/03/18 to provide restoration to her home from recent storm damage. Colony Roofers replaced Mrs. roof in accordance with GA building code and gave Mrs. a free upgrade to Architectural Shingles, a much better product than originally placed on her home. Mrs. notified Colony Roofers that she was happy with the roof and had to give "props where props are due" but had a few areas of concern and sent pictures to her sales rep Jennifer Hewatt. Colony Roofers attempted to explain to Mrs. that the issues she had in regards to the flashing in the front were unwarranted as step flashing is necessary to prevent a water tight seal between the decking a brick face on the front elevation of her home. Mrs. was also directed to the back of our contract which states we are not responsible for damage incurred while building the roof if said damage was not preventable due to poor maintenance of exterior faces on the home, in this case the siding. Mrs. has also asked for us to provide a material cost to her (our cost at which we bought material) which is not even standard industry practice so she can see our margins on the roof being installed. Mrs. invoice in accordance with her contract is the full amount of monies paid by the insurance claim. It is illegal to profit off of insurance claims which is what Mrs. has been trying to do and has disputed that her contract was only for the roof and not the rest of the interior where she has attempted to get others to do it cheaper and bill the insurance a fraudulent amount on the certificate of completion. The dispute filed with the Revdex.com is the first time any mention of "driveway damage" has been brought up and is news to this office. Mrs. has not allowed Colony Roofers to be present at an independent inspection of an individual that she hired on her behalf to inspect the roof. Mrs. agreed to pay for the roof prior to Christmas and has not paid to this date. Our office will not warranty a roof until it has been paid in full (standard industry practice) as the homeowner would have a warranty on a roof they never paid for. Due to these circumstances and the lack of transparency and cooperation on Mrs. behalf, our office has filed a lien to secure our legal rights on the property. The lien has been awarded by the State after providing copy of contract and proof of executed contract (new roof). Mrs. has not let us back out at the property to meet with an inspector or resolve the issue, she only makes an excuse every time payment is due. Our attorney will foreclose on the lien if payment is not received promptly. In addition, Mrs. will receive a legal letter with a 15 day response time at the first of the year stating her breach of contract on payment and additional work. She will have 15 days to settle the matter before it is filed for suit in her jurisdiction. Her contract is clear and a copy can be provided to the Revdex.com for mediation. If the Revdex.com wishes to mediate this matter as stated above, Colony Roofers will be happy to negotiate with Mrs. through the Revdex.com but will maintain current course in regards to legal action in case negotiations breakdown.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I had a Independent roof inspector to inspect the roof which the inspector found major coding issues with the roof. I did inform Mr. Se*** that I was going to have an inspection on the roof. I was also was notified by my insurance adjuster that Mr. Se*** had requested for supplements for work he had not done on my home. I have filed several complaints against this company as well as reported the damages of my concrete and my roof to my lien holder and they are looking into the matter as well.

Colony Roofers Response • Feb 01, 2019

Please see attached emails sent to Mrs ***'s attorney multiple times trying to schedule a new inspector and reach an agreement.

Mr. Mark Se***
continues to be untruthful. He filed a mechanics lien stating I owed him $28,000 when I signed a contract for a roof only and the cost of the roof through my insurance company was for $17,703.26. He wants me to pay him $4099.00 the cost of material supplies when I have to pay for the damages to my home which includes the concrete and hardy plank damage. I will know the cost of the damages when I have my home painted. I also have to pay for court fees at $110.00 and I had to contest the lien which cost $85.00. The shingles were improperly placed on the roof as well as the nails. There is no drip edge or starter shingles. Mark Se*** has to realize had he put the roof on properly we would not be having this problem now

I highly recommend Colony Roofers. Their commitment to honor and integrity is evident in the high quality product they deliver. They genuinely care about their customers and build good relationships, not just good roofs. They go out of their way to explain details, answer questions and solve any problems that may arise. Our new roof looks absolutely amazing and has a lifetime warranty on the shingles.

Finally, we chose Colony because it's veteran owned and operated. Mark is highly decorated and selflessly served our country in the Army on the front lines of Iraq and Afghanistan. His commitment to honor, integrity, and hard work shows. Our family highly recommends Colony Roofers.

I was very impressed with Colony Roofers. They were very prompt and
efficient. I was in the Real Estate Industry as a Broker for 25 years. In those 25 years I have never seen a crew strip and replace a roof in one day. I was also extremely pleased with their sales agent Issac Pope. Issac was very knowlegable about the industry. He answered all of my questions clearly and because of his courteousness it made me feel very comfortable. He made me feel so comfortable that I referred two other customers to the company.

Thanks again Colony
